It seems to be the issue with the AI launcher. If you deleted it with adb and install a more stock launcher it should work great. This thing has a 1000mAh battery with a low power Mediatek, it should last 4 hours easy.

it's a mediacrap p35, which only has AI-crap for cameras/photos. there is zero AI-hardware accel for any of its actual AI features since only the newest flagship chips have that so far.
There are attempts to enable sort of hardware acceleration for diverse targets with things like mlir or tvm which may take advantage of targets like dsps or simd instructions. What about the hearing aid hardware for example, low power and relatively high computing needs?

Especially when it comes to music players, the runs that run their own linux os always run way smoother and have better battery life than the android ones.
Sony Walkman are a prime example, the older models that run their linux version still run super smooth and battery life lasts forever, meanwhile the more recent models that run android can run really slow especially with a lot of music and the battery life is garbage even with the same or higher battery capacity than the old models.
