raytraced gi / shadows can be done using compute shaders and signed distance fields on a 7900xtx with excellent performance, AMD gpus are not incapable of performing well if you choose algorithms that work well on all gpus instead of VK_KHR_ray_tracing_pipeline
I'll take rasterization with higher framerates until STABLE 120hz Path tracing in brand new games can be had for roughly $600-$750.
