>expect corny cliche spaceman with a blaster shooting green men, winning babes, and mouthing wooden dialogue like is always parodied in modern media
>is actually incredibly well written, introspective, clever, imaginative, with characters with meaningful personalities, principles, and internal conflicts
>also a lot of fun
What else have they been fricking hiding from me?

Someone can check the archive sites if they want but I'm fairly certain I saw this exact thread word for word like 8 months ago. This is either a bot or a very deranged individual.

Oh. We do get these kinds of posts now. Weird if it were automated.

You're right. A quick search shows it being posted 2x in June. Could be a fan of the book trying to pimp their perceived lost treasure, or maybe something else going on.

This. People accustomed to twitter people screaming about Russian bots might think it's a joke or something but there are a substantial amount of bots on IQfy, the recent ai greentexts prove that. I personally think it's why you now get 6 characters sometimes in the captcha instead of exclusively 5.

Holy shit this is horrifying to see. I wonder how much of my time wasted on the internet was basically content being fed to me like this, as in a fake post to make me think about a certain topic or thing. That’s so eerie.

it's not that different from me making a genuine thread to make you think about a certain topic

You literally have information shot directly into your brain every time you do anything like go outside and see a sign or an advertisement anywhere. Don't say that you don't see ads - you do, everywhere.

Way to ruin it for me. A stainless steel rat is born is an easy afternoon to evening read. Atleast whoever unleashed the bot knew there were some fun 1950s authors.

This just simply is not true. You are blatantly lying about this.

      >meaningless
Lol. Philosophy threads were a mistake.
If the books are fun to read have fun.

    Based Steel Rat enjoyer.
Quest of the three worlds is fun.
Also check out Christopher Stasheff. Late 60s but super fun.
James Blosh was around the 60s/70s also.
Going the other direction CS Lewis Out of a silent planet (scifi series) is good. Really old, Olaf Stapldon's Odd Jon is a fun read but not as bubblegum as the Rat.

I recommend that you also look into J.G. Ballard’s works. They’re quite distinct from most recognizable Sci-fi.

Don't think I would call Harrison a "pulp" writer. "Make Room, Make Room" is a great critique of Catholicism. Great dystopian novel IMHO.
