even funnier, he impregnated the young one first and then the old one got jealous and "almost raped" him. there's also an entire subplot about how the entire tribe is chill with him leaving and help him out preparing for his journey, but his child wives are extremely triggered and go on a hunger strike and ask the village sorcerer for permission to kill his horse by feeding it glass and everyone repeatedly warns him that they'll probably try to kill him with a shotgun if he leaves

Dune is just autistic fap fiction. Herbert tries to hide it behind a veneer of political "intrigue" at first, but that soon falls apart

Dune is like an onion: it has layers. There's the outer layer of political intrigue, then a layer of technophobia and ludditism, then the middle layer of bad erotic fiction and barely disguised fetishes (see the entirety of book 4), and the bottom layer of environmentalist philosophy, and the ultra secret even lower layer of arabiphilia.

That's why it's a popular classic: there's something for everybody.

There's no link between consensual minor-adult sex and psychological harm. Child sexual abuse theory is a pseudoscience which is controverted by all good science. Studies which purport to show a causal link between minor-adult sex and psychological harm use clinical samples and don't control for confounding factors, such as family environment and whether or not simple consent was present. The belief that minor-adult sex always results in mental trauma comes from combining all outcomes of minor-adult sex and averaging them, refusing to examine separately outcomes where minor-adult sex was not forcible or coerced, for ideological reasons.

Most psychologists know that minor-adult sex does not really cause minors psychological harm:

    James Cantor PhD:
    >The research is much more consistent with the conclusion that harm is caused instead by coercion, manipulation, secrecy, and by courting kids who already have problems, not the sexual interactions per se.

    Michael Bailey PhD:
    >Indeed, the best scientific evidence suggests that the most typical experiences considered childhood sexual abuse may not be as harmful as most people think. Specifically, sexual activity that children engage in voluntarily (albeit illegally) with adults is nearly uncorrelated with undesirable outcomes

People are caused psychological harm by violence and coercion, not by having an enjoyable sexual experience with an adult partner.

What's more sus is any dystopian sci-fi/cyberpunk/post-apocalypse setting that tries to pretend as if mass rape wouldn't be totally rampant and normal somehow and what are considered "civilized consent laws" would still somehow be relevant. Which is why a woman has never written a believable setting in any of those genres.

Everything would be A Boy and His Dog mode and all women would be chased around by morally grey (at best) "good guys".

      >Which is why a woman has never written a believable setting in any of those genres.
Clearly you've never read women's sci-fi erotica. Especially Omegaverse shit. There's endless quantities of settings where there's just roving packs of men going around raping women without stopping and they somehow make a plot out of that. (Usually the FemMC somehow manages to make the Alpha Rapelord become obsessed with only her and forget about other women, its never explained how beyond "she's just special")

I remember at least one book where the FemMC was raped like 100 times in a row by a bunch of space marine-types before being acquired by the male MC. Who then proceeded to do things like cum all over her food.
