The entire Dornish plotline makes so much more sense and with far more interesting character dynamics than in the show. Littlefinger's involvement in the Vale and the ties to the Boltons in the north is so much better in the book than the show. Stannis' march on Winterfell and the drama that unfolds between Ramsey and Jon Snow is so much better in the book than the show. The revelation of magic re-appearing with the dragons and the maester's reaction (and lack thereof) with Sam's arrival in oldtown is so much better in the book than the show. Oh and obviously Tyrion's journey east and the introduction of Aegon is so much better in the book than it was in the show.
