Not to mention $100k+ in debt that they will now never be able to pay back because they'll be stuck in dead end minimum wage jobs for the rest of their lives as the interest accrues and the debt increases every year. The American economy has truly become a tool of pure evil. Most people have worse lives today than slaves did in the 1700s.

It says enough that just 6 months ago there was constant discussion there about moving to another place for a promotion / raise and to job hop. Now nobody there is talking about that.

Field got flooded over the last 10 years. Positions in programming used to be less competitive than other similar paying positions in the corporate world. Poojeets also flooded into the field and started to advertise their very low quality services for barely any money. This got large corporations interested enough to hire 1000's of Indians for IT related stuff since they 25 Indians were paid the same as 1 US citizen.

Since 25 Indians together earn the same as 1 US citizen*

Looool, cope more, let's see how reliable that is when another project gets finished xd

          Anonymous

I'm speaking from real life experience, child. The problem is that you forgot to take into consideration market dynamics. It doesn't matter that it takes 3 months to get a noob ready to do it if in that time you've generated 100 more openings -- then demand still increases vs supply. For webtardation, for example, virtually 100% of companies need one. Every single time some shitty startup comes up, you can call them up and ask if they'd like to hire you and the answer will be yes the microsecond they have funding (often before that with founders willfully paying out of pocket for this) due to how important it is for sales to work out to have a good website.

Nah, your lards ass doesn't understand. You have 0 job security in these kinds of positions, if:
            >The project doesn't go well
            >Company is losing revenue (and most webshit focused companies do inevitably, because the service doesn't provide anything of substance unlike real life work that gives a tangible and sought after product)
            >Other people get hired on a lesser paycheck, and let's be honest, outsourcing happens a lot
You're fricked, and have to search and learn for another job because you're just treated like slave trash. Not to include that you're also treated like trash in company because these kinds of workplaces don't care for workers because demand is high so they can just as well replace you easily.

Im in the last week of a 12 week aerospace manufacturing certificate program at a local cc, the classroom is a mile away from Boeing's Everett field in a repurposed hanger with like 100,000sqft of high quality, Boeing donated tools, machinery, bracing, air pressure system, composites room with these huge curing vats and lay-up tables. Im doing the electrical assembly cert and so far Ive learned to precision drill and countersink holes in aluminum, buck and drive rivets to spec, rework everything by removing everything carefully to preserve hole integrity with these 3000, 6000 rpm aerospace industry drills hooked to 90psi air system thats got hookup terminals every 6 feet in a 50 foot radius in the machining section of the school. Also learned to work cables, wires, wire bundles, create our own wire bundles to Boeing blueprint specification, tie up everything with high-vibration knots and clovehitch/surgical/square knots every 2 inches, route several bundles through a 3x3 panel that has different sections of pressurized and unpressurized space so the wire bundles are treated a little differently in each. Currently finishing off the last week doing soldering and we're right now on PCB boards for the next 2 days. Guaranteed job placement at Boeing, who will pay for all schooling (bachelors, masters, phd) - even give you 100 Boeing shares for bachelors completion, 150 for masters, 200 for phd. They'll even front up 10-12k for pilot flying school, which theres like a dozen in the area taking advantage of that. Plus unlimited (almost) overtime, so I know you wfh soft skinned femboy homosexuals are going to shirk away from what Im about to say, but I am working my ass off and earning every hour for it. 1.5 any hour over 8 in a work day, 1.5x pay for saturday hours, 2x pay for sunday hours, 3x pay if you work holiday (and if you enjoy the day off, naturally it's paid). In December there's a winter break near the holidays where someone could work 50-60 3x hours. The trades, anon
