The original Rust compiler was written largely in OCaml. The current Rust compiler is self-hosted. Meaning “Rust is written in Rust”. Therefore it isn't accurate to say that Rust is written in C++.
It's a pretty good language with runtimes available for Windows, MacOS and Linux. Decent package system with a large ecosystem of libraries. .NET based, so good libraries available for basically anything Microsoft/Azure related.
If you have a small team asp can't be beat for backend. Large team with offshore go with Java spring. Linq is really the best part in the way it parses collections or sql
It's the best existing language for creating server-side applications but it's not nearly as good for creating GUIs. It's probably the best thing Microsoft has ever made and all the merit should go to it's creator (Anders Hejlsberg, who also created Typescript) rather than Microsoft itself.
If you want to use .Net for creating APIs, console apps and backend stuff, i can't think of anything that would better suit your needs. If you want to use it for Desktop apps, you shouldn't. MAUI isn't for desktop apps, and the rest is Windows only. If you want to use it for gaymes, C++ is better.
The best thing that came out of this language is ASP.NET Core.
yup
you can use unmanaged memory relatively easy without having to mashall types into the runtime
used to do that all the time when I was working in HFT
The good > most productive stack for small teams or single devs > doesn't give you a chance to frick things up > empowers even beginners to make production grade backends
The bad > It's shilled a lot by microjeets > It's not good for GUIs and no, it's not crossplatform unless you're doing backends > Rust will probably be better in a few years (if you're alright with some productivity loss)
Not that many jobs, if you happen to get one then you'll be stuck with legacy shit and asp.net has one of the worst history compare to any other web frameworks, you'll be dealing with legacy shit a lot cause Microsoft told frick you to those who used asp.net from .net framework (it is also a victim of Microsoft moronic naming system), you can learn it if you want to work with unity engine but if your goal is to get into game development I'd suggest c++.

for a backend it is the fastest and most robust hands down. java is a backwards language that misses many common features c# has. One for example is string interpolation, search up f strings in python, it c# is a @ before the "". Java has none. This is a very basic and intuitive feature.
its for .net framework/core
pretty much god tier if you work in a small office automating something in active directory.
webapps is pretty great too, i can pretty much create any kind of crud you can think of with UI, login and database within an hour.
Sorry mate, nothing to say
it's microshit, that should be all you need to know

A language for chubby balding men named Bob.
the only good thing to come from microsoft nowadays
It's the best language for interfacing with .NET.
But sometimes you don't want to use .NET.
Strong marketing team, but it's still trash. No cross platform UI development.
>No cross platform UI development
dumb Black person
Came here to say this.
Well, nothing that actually works worth a fricking damn.
>muh distro
It's a pretty good language with runtimes available for Windows, MacOS and Linux. Decent package system with a large ecosystem of libraries. .NET based, so good libraries available for basically anything Microsoft/Azure related.
It's ok.
Best framework and IDE on the market.
Great for making money.
Not suited for autists here on IQfy.

Impressive stats you got there anon.
Doesn't .NET have easier manual memory management than JVM?
yup

bhenchod language
Strongest tool design language currently.
It's not Java, meaning you could do much, much worse.
>not adding 3 more "much" to emphasize how much worse it could be
ngmi
It's really good, especially for normie programmers who want to get shit done, and would probably make 90% of web applications better.

Stop shilling this meme. A gui is only as good as its creator.
>muh Rust
Your opinions already suck

Slow. Shills don’t mind because all they do is webdev.
It's pretty underrated on IQfy, really what Java should have been. There's a lot of support and a good syntax

Better Java. People say good stuff about it. Still no better than Go or Elixir/Phoenix
I don't you guys dont care about this around here, but it pays the bills and there are shitton of C#/.NET jobs
