Humanity is not the center of the universe anon, there's nothing wrong with admitting this. In fact if anything its the greatest show of humility. I feel honored to be able to experience such a massive cosmos, something bigger than me. Thats not depressing, quite the opposite in fact, it would be far more depressing to me if we weren't just a tiny spec in the universe and this was ultimately all their was.
>because I don't even see a reason for it
You don't need a reason for it. The purpose of life is to live. This isn't a satisfying answer, but the answer was under no obligation to be satisfying.
>You don't need a reason for it.
indeed it's the same whether we live or die >The purpose of life is to live.
life has no purpose you are an accident. a fluke of luck that caused meat to be aware for a couple of years before it dies

What I mean to say is that the point of life is to live, obviously I don't think we were given some grander purpose. Everything we accomplish is our own doing. We are ultimately the masters of our destiny. To me thats less nihilistic than thinnking everything we accomplished is because some man in the sky allowed it to.

Again life has no "point". If you roll a ball down a hill is the point of the ball to roll? Nope, it is just happening and you can interrupt that motion anytime just like you can with your life. >We are ultimately the masters of our destiny.
Destiny does not exist and we are slaves to the deterministic processes of our bodies. Your willingness to live is just an instinct to further propagate the species.

You’re missing an element, the indomitable human spirit. Sure, in the end it is vain, but in the moment you have a choice, and that is not deterministic.

Does a robot also have a indomitable "spirit" when it makes a programmed choice? >in the moment you have a choice, and that is not deterministic.
Nope, the world we live in is deterministic and so are human beings. We "decide" on matters even before we are aware that we have done so. Essentially we decide on nothing and are just going through the motions of whatever domino effect started us. At most we are an observer but consciousness is an illusion

If there is a reasonable "self" than it decided to do all of this. If there isn't, then we have the persistent illusion that there is, which is good enough. You can pretend otherwise but eventually you will experience the qualia of making a decision

There isn't an actual "self" and I don't see how getting fooled into thinking you are doing things is supposed to be rewarding. It just happens nothing to say about it really.

There is none! The brain acts like there is though
>fate
nope, the only reason you are alive is because a bunch of chemicals are reacting a certain way. that is all we are and you must have pride in our connection to the cosmos. when you die and the earth reclaims your body you can be happy knowing you are feeding some worms with your rotting corpse
>I want to have faith, but its extremely hard for me to believe in anything.
I sympathize.
You can drive faith up to a point using rationality (atheism is built on very shaky foundations), but eventually you'll hit a point where you can't rationalize anymore and you'll just have to take a leap of faith.
So my advice is to just KISS, keep it simple stupid. If you want to believe, just decide to believe and go to church. Talk to a priest. Join the congregation. Start living by the faith, and you'll start believing in it.
Space is fake and gay. Water doesn't stick to spinning balls. Motion has never been detected, curvature has never been measured. We can see hundreds of miles too far.

>relapsed back into existential nihilism again
It's all so tiresome. Is death the only escape?
Fake science created a fake reality to make you nihilistic. They want you to think you're a moronic ape on a spinning rock floating in infinite nothing. Wrong. Earth is the center of God's creation.
>Space is fake and gay. Water doesn't stick to spinning balls. Motion has never been detected, curvature has never been measured. We can see hundreds of miles too far.
God KNOWS you're smarter than this
For me the meaning of life is the pursuit of happiness without taking the happiness from others and helping others to have happiness. Happiness would be the basic biological, psychological, social etc needs. (Also abstraction and contemplation of reality). 🙂
From a practical perspective, they'll probably remember your actions, and spread the word about you being a dick. If everyone else knows you as a dick, they're not gonna do you any favors.
if I bribe them to forget or drug them then it's all good? how about an ice pick to the frontal lobe? it would make them reusable
>take happiness
What does this mean to you, precisely?
rape maximizes personal happiness

You'll quite possibly go to prison. Don't drug and rape people, moron. >Ice pick to the brain
Again, prison or social ostracization.

idc about your opinion or how special penetration made you feel, if you want to feel like a b***h bend over
grow up
nihilism doesn't have to be depressing you know?
>We're just a speck in the universe
>Isn't that majestic
You people are, by far, the dumbest motherfrickers I've encountered.
we are made of starstuff isn't that powerful and empowering?

Yes we are.
It makes my suffering worse, because I don't even see a reason for it. It's like the only reason I'm alive is because fate has ordained it for me.
I want to have faith, but its extremely hard for me to believe in anything.

look at the distortion in the window where her arm is
you're a moron if you think this is real
