There are a lot more quality and original single player games now then there were back in your days, gramps. Also, I do not miss old phones one single bit. In fact, my current smartphone is probably the happiest I've ever been with a portable media consumption revice

            >full wikipedia on it
            >thousands of games in Retroarch (playable with portable 8bitdo controller), up to fricking Gamecube
            >native FOSS ports of PC games like HL2, Portal, Serious Sam...
            >can read raw manga offline with Tachiyomi
            >jellyfin allows me to access my media server from anywhere
            >native 4k h265 hdr support, can play literally ANY video file, no more extremely specific converting like with the PSP
            >various QOL apps like fitness trackers for running
            >various novel apps like Noice, Termux...
            >much better screen on time
            >65w fast charging that can give me literally 10-80% in 20 minutes from a power bank
All of that while being mostly free as in freedom and below 500€. Seriously, how can old phones even fricking compare? Hint: They can't. Old phones suck, new phones are the best.

this is even worst. what the frick are you focusing homosexual? the mouse? what an awkward angle. the white balance is fricked, ISO is set too high despite using wide open aperture, the monitor is cropped off, the mouse is too close to the edge. its not even a proper RoT. do you even understand composition? or do you unironically think that this angle of yours is "art"? (its not)

using large aperture unreasonably is just an amateur cope. you will never be more than just a hobbyist with an expensive gear who shoots shitty pics.

This is an experimental photo on a mongolian basket weaving board, and it made you pretty mad. So I guess it served its purpose.

Everything is amazing now most people are just too jaded and overstimulated to appreciate it.

I was remarking today to my wife about how in circa 2006 when I played WoW for the first time I had a 17" CRT. I upgraded to a Sony 19" LCD which now my father has downgraded to when his 22" LCD died.

Meanwhile I've got a 24x32x32 setup on my main computer and a 27" on the work side table. Plex server with every movie/show/doc/Comedy I'd ever want, a desktop capable of running everything, Switch, XBox One X and a PS5. A house + pool, full per room music.

I work a ton of hours but teenager me didn't image this.

You gotta appreciate where we are technologically even if some of it is shit. I DO miss my first iPod though, the first Win one with the touch capacitive red buttons and scroll wheel.

I remember going to Kay-Bee Toys or Toys 'R Us for *a* game. Like a new NES game. Or getting a new N64 game for the holidays. The excitement I had when I got my first NES or the N64 bc I was a huge Star Wars fan and Shadows of the Empire was like next level for me...nothing recreates that excitement today.

Why don't they make dualshock 3's again but with the modern ds5 triggers. Maybe increase the size a tiny bit. I hate that "touchpad" on the ds4 and the stupid light. Also bring back select, start & playstation logo button

It was either the DS3 or DS4 that removed the pressure sensitive face buttons, bumpers, and d-pad. Even though it didn't have concave triggers, the DS2 was probably the best PlayStation controller. DS4 and up are moronic

Loved my iPod, the 360 too. I actually worked one of my first jobs out of college for a company that did this huge app on Treo's for pharma companies since Blackberry was not a thing and iPhone wasn't even in motion.

Miss the LG candybar and flip chocolate series phones. They were total soul.

Had both they were really good phones. I remember them being the first Android phones which didn't take forever to boot. I'd had the HTC Incredible which was such ass before it and the OG Droid which felt like the future.

Someone post that pic of a steam deck compared to a game boy advance, it's fricking enormous.

Also, I'll be honest, I've never understood the appeal of a handheld gaming console past the age of 10, after the game boy, handheld games became much larger and wider in scope, they were games that demanded your whole undivided attention to enjoy throughly and you simply can't get that putting your PSP/DS by playing vidya outside, unless you spend a lot of time away from home and you can't bring a PC where you're going.
