I want to use my phone less and less, the only thing I rely on it for now is music through Spotify. I want to keep my phone at home or in a dresser somewhere and not be contacted.
Is there any device I can use that will connect to Spotify and play my downloaded songs? I thought about pirating + mp3 player but that would take a long time and limits me to songs I already know of. Is my only choice to buy an overpriced second phone and not put a sim card in it?

I want to be disconnected from the world. I hate the "leash" that phones have on us. I hate that when my manager texts me on my day off, they'll text me in 30 minutes again.
I don't want to feel obligated to reply to people. I don't want to feel obligated to be in constant communication and contact. I don't want to mindlessly scroll instagram or reddit because it's the only thing I can do at the moment on the bus or at a restaurant.

that's the comfy way to listen to music, you will get to know the tracks more rather than a one road propaganda straight to you ears. If you curate it song by song with dowloading the tracks, you just filtered out. Also, you can have more based tracks in your library as well.
