all of video is bloat. a 10 minute 480p video can be in the hundreds of megabyte and rarely speaks a page worth of text (which itself can be glanced over and read much quicker than 10 minutes).

so I had all my family on Vanced MicroG (?). I was reading other places talking about this and some people say this uses GMSCore but that you will get 2FA notices from weird places (specifically Orlando, Florida). Is there a reason for this because it sounds like a red flag to me and I'm kinda hesitant to install 0day patches from a company that reused the name of a former one that shilled NFTs.
I'd use this shit if it had SponsorBlock and you could actually log the frick in to track subscriptions and watched bar history. App is also ugly as frick. I can't imagine watching youtube on a phone as a main screen other than taking a dump. No wonder people p*y for premium.

revanced stopped working for me last week so i began using newpipe. its nice so far but doesnt have NEARLY the amount of stuff im used to in youtube vanilla/vanced. yo cant even sort when you search for something if you type something in it only shows popular or "trending" videos i often have trouble finding what i searched for if its not brand new and other general navigation/qol stuff it seemingly doesnt have at all

As I am over 25 I do not need validation. I believe that what I do is ok given that this is a productive time where the stream is just 10% of my view and 5% of my concentration. I am not the only one who needs some background noise - other people listen to music or podcasts or if they are women they talk with other people while working. yeah, this issue pops up every so often as youtube plays their gay cat and mouse game. i uninstalled my current version of youtube, downloaded an apk of the most up to date recommended version, patched it, installed it, and everything's fine.
disable spoof parameter (in the misc section of the settings).
it will play for a while but then it will stop and buffer.

I'm probably a moron but I'm using an old version of revanced extended. I tried downloading the latest version but it would crash whenever I tried to open it. When I tried to update vanced microg to see if that would help stop it from crashing, I would just get "app not installed." How tf do I fix this so I can use the new version of revanced extended?
Uninstall everything, go to the reddit sticky and follow the instructions in the top comment.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling microG, tried without logging in and still, that stupid ass YouTube video with the message plays, seriously wtf? YouTube literally uploaded a video with their shitty message?
Also, shorts still work for some reason, it's just normal videos that don't work.
I'll be switching to Brave browser on my phone for now, it's not perfect but it works pretty well.

OP you need to reinstall the latest vanced manager and the latest version of microg. I had the same problem at the start of the week, managed to get it working on thursday. As far as I know its because the microg version you're using is too old

oh and you might have issues with videos being stuck on buffering after 30 seconds. In the youtube app go to:

after I got gmscore instead of the standard revanced manager it worked again
