If the answer is no, your opinion doesn't matter.

    Hello Anon,

My printer seems to be printing lighter than usual and the machine reports that the black ink levels are < 25%. Could you come out and replace the toner as soon as possible?

    Thank you,

    Debra

Yes but I wouldn't be doing the kind of coding I do at work. It'd all be esoteric fp and assembly code done for impractical fun.

If I had a problem that required coding to solve then yes. Otherwise no, because that would be like making toys nobody wants.

I code for fun. If someone gets use out of it, awesome. If not, that's fine too. If you like my project, I don't care. If you hate my project, I don't care.

Yes, I would never let myself become a stooge with no intellectual interest in computers and programming.

      > my opinion on what doesn't matter?
Programming. People who code only for money are the worst programmers and their opinions on such matters should be discarded.
      > the outcome of what?
      quality of your code

That means I'd spend a large part of day doing a something else which I might grow to like more than programming. So hard to say. Also I enjoy getting good and mastering things so focusing on the task I do a lot of would probably be of more interest.

Probably but I have other hobbies so hopefully basic income is a thing so I can afford a version of my current life style. I guess there'd also have to be a huge enough culture shift that I could happenstance my way into my dream waifu again if I take showers and see people again regularly stuff

Point being it has next to nothing to do with coding at all, that's just part of the whole conditions to get out of bed and attempt to survive demands I have for whatever the world is 2-5 years from now

Programming is not the fun part

Money is irrelevant. I program because I need software that doesn't exists. I diy because I need hardware that doesn't exists. If AI can replace me, I'd be happy.

I am not making any money from it anyways. Completing projects for someone is moronic. I can only focus and code properly when I am doing something that is fun and useful to me. Or something I am passionate about. There is no worse form of being a cuck other than coding for a project you don't care about.

my whole childhood was just coding and climbing
if i couldn't make money coding, i'd die because i'm not good enough to make money climbing (being a guide in most regions doesn't pay enough to make it)

No. Id starve to death or have to work like a slave and sell all my belongings to fill my belly.
If you provide neetbux for me, though, sure.
