cygwin already solved that issue and it works on fricking windows xp. these morons just reinventing the wheel to create jobs for themselves. and their software doesnt even run on anything older than 2h19 win10 version

WSL is fricking better than anything Linux has. With WSL I can simply run CUDA shit without having to congifure anything or needing two GPUs.
I used WSL1 years ago. It is legitimately some of the worst software I have ever used in my life.
WSL 1 didn't have full compatibility if I remember correctly. WSL 2 even supports systemd services now.
WSL 2 is a glorified VM.
It's a very good VM that deserves to be glorified.

Have you ever actually used cygwin? It's fricking miserable. WSL is a godsend for saving up from that hell.
