Skitzophrenia should be a neurological issue, not merely a mental disorder. Otherwise it becomes a bullshit game of prejudice when it is without a proper tangible frame of reference.
If your diagnosed because your having literal visual fractals and shit because the neurons are all fricked chemically and the patterns of your neurons are all "loopy" and that it's proven with a proper lab examination, that's fine.
If you're diagnosed because your work partner dislikes you, complains to the boss, then forces you to have a psychological assessment to keep your job and working certificate and the psychologist/ psychiatrists assumes your opinions are skitzophrenic because she doesn't like them, that's not fine.
