What's the point dude. There are many great video games available these days if you just want to tap keys and get a little dopamine hit from the on-screen feedback. Google 'Steam store'.

Then post quotes and engage with him, otherwise this thread will just be people posting vague 'yeah he's goofy' or 'no he's actually good' sentiments, and we'd all be better off if we spent the time getting in a couple of runs in Darkest Dungeon.

How the frick does... damn they were actually right?

I agree with your gist but this actually undersells what's interesting in D+G. Judge Schreber wasn't exactly from a disadvantaged background.

They're poor cos they're schizo, not schizo cos they're poor. Schizophrenia is a genetic thing, it can be triggered by stress but you have to be predisposed to it. Poverty causes Cluster C disorders if anything.

I feel like he didn't say that or you are heavily misconstruing him.
In fact I've heard something similar to this and think you're just willingly misinterpreting things like

Though this is an interesting idea (I read a lot of this stuff stoned af a few months back after I fell in with a Deleuzean crowd on social media. Now I'm sober I can't make heads nor tails of why I was so drawn in).
Ultimately Deleuze is wrong: as Nietzsche said, one must have chaos in one's heart to give birth to a dancing star yes, but schizos are not "chaotic geniuses"; they're dangerous and very ill and if anything we should euthanize them for their own sake and to avoid their potential ape outs.

This is not a post I can take seriously but you should post full quotes, and your full and honest thoughts, next time so I can judge if I want to engage with you or not.

that's not the argument you idiot. the argument is that "capitalism is schizophrenic" -- in the sense that it continually remaps new meanings onto the world and forges new connections between disconnected things. what used to be sacred objects are now commodities, for example.

just think of what you would think of most mental diagnoses if they were discovered in russia and assess their validity accordingly, or else admit that you accept everything from your leaders uncritically

I gave up of academia because of bullshit like that in the works of Deleuze, Derrida, Agamben, Nancy, Badiou and other post-modern authors that I was obliged to study. I felt mind-raped with the lack of logic in those ideas that everyone around me defended because it was linned to a left-wing vision. Now I just read fiction.
