I looked at my history out of curiosity and it was only me. How do you even get that many people after you?

Probably a database breach where his info was leaked. They then try those credentials everywhere.

I have a similar problem, but not as bad.
Once every 10 to 30 days someone tries to access the account for a few hours then nothing again for some time.
I don't even use the account for anything, and the only remotely valuable thing on there is my Minecraft account from when Notch promised you'd get free updates forever.

What do you have on yours?

      I have MS Office.

Turned on the app so now I sign in through my phone. Seems to have stopped the shitstorm.

I recommend turning on passwordless login. Only requirement for it is not being a moron and clicking approve when it's not you

You should also click the button to invalidate all existing sessions, after you enable it

I have it worse than you, and this shit has been going on for over 5 years. homosexuals are running a brute force attack. They actually got my old password once, luckily nothing important was lost. I changed my password to 20+ characters + special characters and the bot farm are still going strong till now lol.

I went through my Microsoft account activity and there are a BUNCH of failed login attempts from all sorts of countries. They all got the password wrong but even if they did get it right they would still be stopped by 2FA thankfully.

What are they even looking for? Stealing xbox games?

        >What are they even looking for?
You are thinking about this wrong. These things are 100% automated. The hacking group aren't trying to get into OP's account specifically, they are trying to get into every account. Once in the account, they look for any other leverage - maybe banking or paypal info, maybe blackmail info, or info to be used in a scam, or FB or twitter account info, or a hundred other things. Most likely the group that breaks an account will sell it on to another group - say a Russian or Chinese group that wants to break into OP's company for corporate spying, or maybe a group specializes in a specific kind of scam that targets OP's demographic.

    >successful sign in
    oh no

mine looks the same but they probably don't have the password. they just pulled my recovery email from a frick your privacy shithole to spam recovery codes.
i want to delete that account but deleting shit online actually seem to mean "i'm revoking my access to this account"

Do you have an Xbox account? This happens to me every few months via my Outlook email tied to my Xbox. I use the MS Authenticator app to log in so the people trying to break in don't have access but I will get a bunch of emails with single use codes they don't have access too. Comes from all over the world, Indonesia, Vietnam, India etc. If you don't use that app at least have 2FA it will help.

Big tech companies should just offer an option to block sign-ins from every country except ones on a whitelist. If I'm never going to visit India or China or North Korea then why the frick should they be allowing them to hammer at my account.

Only if they actually get in
Which looks like they did considering you have 4 successful logins from China
Or you're Chinese and you have 2 successful logins from America and especially a password reset in America
Which is unlikely considering the reset
Anyway as everyone else is saying, turn on 2FA, and passwordless, and stop using the same password for multiple things, especially your Microsoft account

Honestly a great idea for 99% of the population
But it's inevitably gonna be a hassle if you leave your home country and forget to whitelist the destination country
