Haha nope.
Last time I read a book was when the power went out
seems all you need is to light a candle
I did. Easier to carry around than a book, easier on my eyes than an OLED phone.
Why read books when you can read IQ degrading posts on here?
e-readers have a web browser, so you still have that option.
speaking of e-reader anyone know a good tablet for reading comics?
Just go to the library. Or whatever you do, don't get Lenovo tab m3 pro or whatever
If you want reviews of e-readers then check out: https://goodereader.com/blog/
As for tablets, how about the base model ipad ?
this one ?
I have no idea how old that model is.
As far as I know, no current ipad model has the home button.
If that model is recent enough, then the screen should be good enough for your purposes.
The home button one was just removed from the lineup today. Now it’s the tenth gen taking its place at a lower cost
New ipad has OLED if you're rich
any tablet that's large will be fine.
I use readcomicsonline.ru if I want to read them online without downloading.
if you want to download them you can use getcomics.org or join a dc++ hub where they get posted first by the groups, search for the comicshack hub and go from there.
if you want to read manga then mihon is good but it's android only (if you've heard of tachiyomi it's the replacement for that).
Worked for me.
you will. the trick is to figure out what you actually want to read.
Who's got their hands on Carta 1300? How big of an upgrade is it?
Works pretty well for me
App?
https://www.amazon.com/kindle/reading/insights
yes but only get the ones that let you put your own epubs/pdfs.
nice thing about e-readers is that you have access to tons of free books
kindle still lets you do this afaik, there's a page where you can just drop the files and it all gets synced to your devices. i wouldn't read PDFs on any e-ink reader, though. you really need a proper e-book format.
Worked for me. I went from barely 1 per year to 4 per month
I thought of gitting a colored one for comics
Get a tablet at that point
I did and returned it, the tech is not there yet.
i like using the overdrive feature on my kobo. unfortunately, the suggestions screen is completely pozzed.
Never connect it to WiFi. But what are the dimensions you would like?
pick up a kobo libra 2 or kobo libra color
I read a shit ton more romance and shitty homosexual erotic novels when I got an ereader because I was no longer having to hide the covers on real books.
same except it was gay furry debukemo doujins
>homosexual erotic novels
gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
God i just want an inexpensive e ink monitor to read on. E ink is so fricking nice to look at its unreal
Jailbreak that b***h
https://github.com/notmarek/LanguageBreak
I did exactly this with my kindle oasis, but now I'm wondering if there's a way to fake Amazon sign in so it stops b***hing at me. I guess it doesn't matter too much if I can't, since 99% of the time I'll be within KOReader anyway.
It depends on why you don't read more books.
Do you want to read while travelling/commuting and find carrying around books cumbersome?
Do you want to read books that are hard to acquire in print?
Do you constantly need to look up words in a dictionary?
what if I'm trying to reclaim time I waste on commute and toilet or eating to be even more productive?
Would ebook reader or tablet help me with that?
My only doubt is that it's impossible to work literally whole day. I'm already seeing productivity drop as sometimes I spend time imagining doing anything but work.
Reading while eating seems dubious.
If it's your own toilet you could just take printed material there.
Otherwise an e-reader should help with its portability.
I read on my phone because I'm a poorgay
Why would a poorgay own a phone?
to call palice on my crackhead neighbours
Probably true.
It's already on your phone
I got an e-reader but I don't even use it, I end up just reading on my tablet instead.
I read over 300 ebooks thanks to my kindles.
in my 28 years i have never ever finished a book. I sparknoted throughout all of high school and college and have probably read like 4 chapters at most ever.
toilet time
I actually do. I didn't read books for 5 years before buying an ebook reader, now I read almost every evening for a bit.
