Why read books when you can read IQ degrading posts on here?

e-readers have a web browser, so you still have that option.

I have no idea how old that model is.
As far as I know, no current ipad model has the home button.

If that model is recent enough, then the screen should be good enough for your purposes.

The home button one was just removed from the lineup today. Now it’s the tenth gen taking its place at a lower cost

any tablet that's large will be fine.
I use readcomicsonline.ru if I want to read them online without downloading.
if you want to download them you can use getcomics.org or join a dc++ hub where they get posted first by the groups, search for the comicshack hub and go from there.
if you want to read manga then mihon is good but it's android only (if you've heard of tachiyomi it's the replacement for that).

nice thing about e-readers is that you have access to tons of free books

kindle still lets you do this afaik, there's a page where you can just drop the files and it all gets synced to your devices. i wouldn't read PDFs on any e-ink reader, though. you really need a proper e-book format.

I did exactly this with my kindle oasis, but now I'm wondering if there's a way to fake Amazon sign in so it stops b***hing at me. I guess it doesn't matter too much if I can't, since 99% of the time I'll be within KOReader anyway.

It depends on why you don't read more books.
Do you want to read while travelling/commuting and find carrying around books cumbersome?
Do you want to read books that are hard to acquire in print?
Do you constantly need to look up words in a dictionary?

      Anonymous

what if I'm trying to reclaim time I waste on commute and toilet or eating to be even more productive?

Would ebook reader or tablet help me with that?
My only doubt is that it's impossible to work literally whole day. I'm already seeing productivity drop as sometimes I spend time imagining doing anything but work.

        Reading while eating seems dubious.
If it's your own toilet you could just take printed material there.
Otherwise an e-reader should help with its portability.
