How do you stay up to date on tech news? What are good sites/channels/etc to keep current on things? Looking at the most popular tech sites like gizmodo and shit is awful, it's news for laymen who don't know anything. Where do I get condensed info about in-depth advancements in tech, mostly hardware, that isn't just parroting tech companies specs

i stopped caring about tech news after i built my pc and bought a laptop i liked
yeah but I work in tech and don't understand how people know so much about random bullshit. Why do they know the innards of 15 different microcontrollers if they've only ever used an arduino?
maybe you should ask the people you work with instead of a catalonian underground unreal engine 3 development forum
>tech news
>gizmodo
LMAO, surprised that shitrag still exists. Regardless, thats not a tech site.
If you want to read long form reviews of hardware with some in depth info on them then Anandtech, Tomshardware, Extremetech, Computerbase, are all good sites for it. If you want to read about some industry channel oriented news then EETimes, ElectronicsWeekly, SiliconSemiconductor, are what you're looking for.
There are tons of random smaller outlets like RealworldTech which host their own message boards that have good info to crawl through too.
thanks man, that's exactly the kind of things I was looking for
I like Techspot
For many years it's been my go-to site for general short tech news articles, though they also do some pretty decent video card, motherboard and CPU reviews and some other in-depth articles from time to time.

i come to /g
I like hackaday for smaller projects and diy stuff, thehackernews for leaks and big ransomware attacks.
Sometimes I'll talk with coworkers for bleeding edge stuff but I don't really care about that anymore. If it's important enough there will be multiple threads here already.
I just visit IQfy because if there's anything worth knowing, doubtless the contrarian homosexuals who populate this godforsaken board will be reeeeeeing about it.
lets not forget the paid amd shills
this is all kids with money, no one knows anything about computers or tech, they just throw money to the best available
Neowin.net
Tomshardware.com
Subscribe to gamersnexus on youtube
I unironically like the WAN show. Probably the only semi entertaining thing LTT produces. Linus usually has 1 or 2 bad takes per episode, but they usually cover and give a brief summary of the biggest habbenings.
Stop watching this low IQ homosexualry. If you want a youtube show watch Level1Techs
Finding the right people on twitter is easily the best source.
I'd build from there, you will need to have a good filter, but that is how it is, few sites are worth any merit these days, a shame.
All the useful technology news is of niche interest. If you’re into semiconductors there’s semiconductor news, If you want to gargle venture capitalist wiener in commiefornia you can go to hacker news. If you’re a SOC monkey you read security news.
>Where do I get condensed info
you don't
heres how you keep up to date, read tech sites, read tech forums, google upcoming tech that you'd be interested in
