this, those high end models are just resistive heaters, they are barely more powerful
same with the 4090 see picrel.
Shit could be cheaper, due not need moronly oversized power rails and refrigeration, but here we are

whoa, and all it took for this 4% increase in performance was three and a quarter times more power consumption than it's rival. Bravo Intel! Tel Aviv rejoices.

Yeah, totally make sense to deal with 3x the power consumption and heat to gain 1fps over the 7950X3D. Bravo, Jintel.

Why does the intel system have better RAM? Even if the AMD system required running it at lower frequency due to Infinity Fabric, it would still benefit from lower CAS latency. The Intel system should be running at C38 to make it equal.

The 7800X3D does better than the 7950X3D btw. Intel still loses. Note the FPS difference with different RAM too.

      Anonymous

7800X3D doing better than 7950X3D is just a scheduler issue imo. If you use processlass or something to disable hyperthread on 7950X3D, it will likely outperform 7800X3D

        Anonymous

Also similarly, it can be fixed with bios tinkering a bit. Its related to ANOTHER windows scheduler that chooses higher clocking cores, which for the 7950X3D, are not the X3D cores but the non-X3D cores. X3D cores are set to few hundred Mhz lower than non X3D cores thus windows either doesn't use it or assigns lower priority tasks to it.

My point is Intel doesn't win. Der Bauer can frick himself, he's a filthy fricking israelite shill. He used the wrong processor AND wrong ram to compare.

Also, it's really no surprise he's sucking israelite wiener, germans are gonna be licking israelite buttholes for 1000 years because Hitler couldn't finish the job.

7800X3D and 7950X3D have identical gaming performance if OS scheduler isn't moronic and keeps gaming threads on the V-Cache CCD.

          Anonymous

7950X3D should have 144 MB of cache while 7800X3D should have 80 MB.

7950X3D also has 16 real cores vs 7800X3D's fake cores. So if you prioritize the scheduling to the 8X3D cores, while leaving the 8 regular cores for offloading, it should be faster.

            >7800X3D's fake cores
            what?

            Anonymous

Wrong, the cache pools are completely separate. They are not homogeneous. Any attempts to access cache pool on the second CCD will incur latency penalty on top of not even operating at the same clockspeed.
There is a reason why you need to force gaming threads to operate on the same CCD.

Interesting. I will see what capping my max frequency to 2500 does (if anything) for me. Then again I am running a 4k 240hz so in games that aren't fps capped by the engine my XTX seems to always be hitting the 350w power limit to push as many frames as it can. I'm not expecting much but that is why I asked as a point of reference.

Thanks to the high power consumption of the Intel processor,
it can also serve as a space heater, allowing gamers and content creators to stay warm during the cold winter months without spending valuable time getting up from the chair and walking to turn on a heater. Another win for Intel, it's over for AMD.

Its funny watching all the shintel cope going on over power usage as if its not a big deal when not that long ago they used to shit on amd nonstop for using more power. Oh how the c-states have turned.
