it's funny seeing people who don't know how irc works. you can use SSL and VPNs with it the same way with any other system, and yes, it's a much older chat system so it doesn't hide your IP by default. you have to not be a noob and do it yourself.

Many networks hide your ip by default now

servers do. irc, by default, does not.

Yup. Only took 40 years before server admins admitted that it wasn't the best to expose their users' IP.

IRC filters out yet another failure from IQfy. the system works.

IP addresses are still displayed on many servers so Black folk and low iq baboons such as yourself can be identified, banned and ignored.
it's amazing how you vantablack baboons know so little about everything.

i've tried irc like a dozen times in the last 20 years and it's been a disappointing experience every time

            fantastic story

have you considered for a moment that nobody wants to talk to (you)? i don't have this problem.

This is the one thing that doesn't happen. When Freenode imploded you could see all the users that left (so pretty much only the idlers remained) and legit like 30-60% were just idiling people had forgotten about.

            >This is the one thing that doesn't happen
in some channels this is a rule. homosexuals idling and logging shit are a plague. in some channels i'm in we'll do a purge every few months. if users don't reply within a day or two they're booted from the channel.

yes, and each page's chat (e.g. twitch.tv/twitch ) is a channel on their irc server (#twitch). so what are some good channels?

I just joined the server that the PDA autist posted here. It has like a dozen people and it's booming with activity. It blows the average irc shit out of the water
