His individualism and idea that the Holy Spirit proceeds from both the son and the father is why the Orthodox Church doesn’t recognize him. I’m not Orthodox at all but looking to become Catholic just stating facts

He is a Saint in the EO church as well.

Granted that’s probably true but up until him there wasn’t an emphasis on individual salvation.

Nietzsche was unironically a moron and the older I get, the clearer that becomes.

But I haven’t died yet. Also even Augustine’s contemporary Proclus was already far more advanced than him.

I actually gave at least four or five reasons in my post, you simply lack reading comprehension

The bible is a carefully composed collection. You can't just disregard it as not a valid axiom.

            >axiom
            >An axiom, postulate, or assumption is a statement that is taken to be true, to serve as a premise or starting point for further reasoning and arguments. The word comes from the Ancient Greek word ἀξίωμα (axíōma), meaning 'that which is thought worthy or fit' or 'that which commends itself as evident'.

What's wrong with thinking the bible commends itself as evident?

Aquinas mogs Augustine, it's really no contest at all. Augustine was a weirdo who said unbaptized babies go to Limbo/baby Hell; Aquinas, being normal, understands they get eternal joy.

What? How does a Hindu theologian "surpass" a Christian theologian when they are theorizing on completely different things? Literally every assumption that either of them makes is different. They build their philosophies on radically different bases. They are not in the same sphere. Their purposes are so radically different as to make them literal non-competitors in the marketplace of ideas. There is no "surpassing". There can be no competition here. Either you accept the fundamentals of Catholicism, and can appreciate Augustine, or you accept the fundamentals of Hindu Monism and can appreciate Shankara.
