My uncle is a member of the global elite. He favors immigration because he believes it will be good for our economy and also because he sees that an Indian allowed to move to the US can make 10 times more with the same skills and sees it as morally important to allow them to do so. We have completely destroyed the natural environment, which is going to cause biosphere to collapse. Biosphere collapse in not an event, it's a process, which has already begun and is going to accelerate. Conditions will gradually become worse, until most of the earth becomes uninhabitable. Maybe you will not die in 10-15 years, but many people will, and by 2100 it is going to be 95%-100% of human population. Just because in the past we have made some predictions about when civilization is going to collapse and they didn't come true, doesn't mean that it is not going to collapse, the likelihood only increases with time.
Global warming would mean large swaths of Canada would become habitable. This would make up for the environments that were previously habitable that became uninhabitable. Same goes for Siberia/Russia and China.

Yes, that's where the surviving humans could migrate to, but it's not going to make up for the environments lost, and it's not so easy to just resettle billions of people. Likely it will be gradually getting worse, prices increasing, violence becoming more and more common, until you will have to fight for your life daily, and it won't be possible to just move north then.

I work in horticulture, I would be able to grow my own food if the supply chain breaks down.
If civilization and supply chains collapse, like 99% of the population is going to die. If you're "lucky" enough to survive, you're probably going to want to be well-versed in agriculture without power tools, and you'll need to be prepared to defend your farmland.
