The fact most people find books boring is a lookspill

Think about it. Why is it that when people see real performances by real actors they can enjoy a story, but when presented with a book version of that exact same story they just get bored to tears?

It's the lookpill.

People don't watch TV/Movies for the stories, but rather for the characters and the drama between them. Which they can't enjoy unless there is a visual element. It's also for the same reason that nobody wants to watch movies/shows where the characters are ugly with annoying voices even if they're literally the same characters otherwise.

Most people hate reading because they can't judge the characters by their appearances the same way they could otherwise.

Looks = Character.
Books: Can't see the characters = Characters feel 'dry'.

Most people like movies because it takes away the effort of having to imagine something themselves. TV/Movies do it for them.

Most times I've watched a movie with others in recent times they've spent half their time looking at their phone. People are too dumb to watch movies nowadays.

These are the people who have no inner monologue. It's the same reason why millions of "people" will happily listen to the top 50 muzak jingles their entire lives but can't listen to jazz. They are intrinsically lower lifeforms. Unless you're trying to exploit them for currency (which is beneath any superior man) they can be safely disregarded. The average person's inability to appreciate literature, which is the most abstract art and the one least-couched in the banality of the senses, is equivalent to the inability of a wienerroach to appreciate Mozart.

You're not just ugly, you're hung up on your ugliness. It's a feminine trait. Your entire subculture is pathetically feminine.

That's pretty dumb considering a lot of women read books, a lot of them read and write porn than they view it, and women are biologically lookist extremist terrorists of nature that would shoot a bald man if they had the upper body strength for it.
Women will imagine characters to be handsome because those are the only men they consider as men.
Here is the character Raskolnikov from crime and Punishment. He looks like a stereotypical incel nerd.

Here he is drawn more realistically. A few might consider this handsome, but he reminds me of virgin friend of mine who wrote shounen fanfiction in his late 20's.

Raskolnikov is literally described as remarkably good looking in the book. So the female version is more accurate.

    >this is your brain on blackpill
People are lazy and only care about things they have experience with
Reading requires more effort than looking or listening
Imagining / mentally constructing how people act / look and how locales are constructed / look will always require more energy than just watching a story be spoonfed by film, with imagination only being needed for anticipating what will come next or any higher meanings, the work itself is laid bare with no bar to pass to understand most basic movies.
I know people who genuinely never learned to construct a story in their head from words so they really just do movies since going through the whole process and keeping your mental constructions consistent while reading a book is like a micro-skillset that nlthey never developed. Audiobooks are easier but you still have to mentally imagine things to actually feel engaged most the time.

People are addicted to being instantly rewarded by media. There are people complaining about being to anxious to actually go through an entire one hour and a half movie; of course, they dedicate their day to 15s videos on tiktok and instagram... I am sorry for all these people, but they are responsible for their lives and, once reach adulthood, should know better. People act like it is their right to be entertained and rewarded 24/7, they act like this is the key to happiness, but, if it was, why would they all be so depressed?

I imagine women in written media as remarkably attractive unless specified otherwise. I actually spend time thinking about what they'd look like precisely
