this is a bad sign that his middle management are failing hard
people with drive and motivation don't fake work
but bad management can kill that
If he's got people who are slacking, he should fire their managers and promote from their ranks
      restore morale, drive, and motivation

      >I would just quit and get another job.
the only people who work at tesla do it purely for the name. they don't mind being treated like slave wagies as long as they can tell everyone they work for tesla.

Stupidest thing in this thread so far. Nobody in the world cares if you work for Tesla.

They're one of the most desired places to work in. Tesla and SpaceX have been the number 1 or 2 place to work for Engineering grads for decades. Tesla is in the top 10 for CS / SW grads. I think they pull this shit because they have a large pool to replace employees who quit. I don't think many other companies can do this.

Isn't this just a way for them to cut down on employees? I mean who gives a shit, these are highly payed positions, they can find a different WFH job somewhere else.

Can't wait until the courts find Tesla responsible for all the Auto pilot crashes because they're probably going to try and shift the blame on to their employees.

i usually understand this dude's moronic logic, but his weird crusade against WFH is the most boomerish thing about him.
for a dude who's obsessed with cultivating an image of himself that's forward-thinking, he doesn't try and justify any of his WFH hate. no number, no stats, just screeching about coming to the office because he's insane enough to live in a trailer next to his factory.

1000% Copium - That homosexual is realizing that a cultural shift to WFH and the end of the daily commute skips a lot us all past the need for moving to electric vehicles to begin with.

Shouldn't a WFH culture benefit electric vehicles though? One of the biggest downsides of electric vehicles is having to charge them, but if you're at home most of the time that helps eliminate that issue. It's not like people are suddenly going to stop driving in America. It'll just be driving shorter distances to the store and shit; not making big work commutes. That's a lot more viable for electric vehicles.

A lot of WFH people stop giving a shit about car ownership at all. They have groceries delivered, gym from home and just catch an uber to do weekend outings.

Okay fair point. Minus the home gym part of course, I underestimated how fricking lazy people are.

Yeah, but I mean even if they continue to drive, they may slow-roll a decision to buy a new vehicle and move away from gas, even if gas prices double -- they're already using 4 or 5 times less.

No it isn't: I'm working in Italy right now and we don't have to clock in, not when we come to the office and not when we work from home.

Do I care what this man who birthed a homosexual thinks or feels?
He can b***h as much as he wants but his products are fricking trash and are leading society in the wrong direction.
Would never work for the gay spawner/ugly goblin fricker out of principle
