What is the next great IQfycity or town where literature and philosophy will experience their renaissance?

I'm going with Buenos Aires. I foresee a great migration of Western artists and other eccentrics to the capital, possibly seeking to escape the pervasive digitalisation of humanity and yearning for a return to traditional art forms.

You've clearly never actually been to China.
Even the airport is aesthetic as frick, the Chinese have so much money that they pump out lots of great simply as a statistical inevitability (a lot of it is really bad too, especially when they ape western designs, like the China Senate House is hideous). The future absolutely is in the Orient.

A bunch of people in a random building collapse here in Florida last year iirc. There was something similar in Germany in the 2000s I remember. But what does it matter? China has twice the population of Europe, that adding up all the incidents in Europe and doubling them will produce unflattering results is obvious to anyone who isn't intellectually disabled. Maybe there isn't as much footage of it though because this fetish the west has only goes one way to deal with their need to cope and propagandize.

Western culture's been on a consistent decline for decades now. There's been consistent inner city "renaissances" since the 1920's. (although most of the modern ones are... political advertising) To believe it's fixable is to ignore every past "renaissance" and the consistent downhill slope or our civilization.

Every generation is convinced they're living in the end days lol. And yet cultures continue to evolve, develop, and bloom. New movements are spawned etc etc. None of this is true in China, however, where freedom of thought is all state-sanctioned. That'll kill a civilization for sure.

Civilizations under specific circumstances: natural catastrophe, war, pestilence, famine, economic collapse, population decline, and mass migration. NOT because a society has learned to tolerate trans people. If America collapses, it'll be because of capitalism.

I certainly think America faces deep problems and many of these problems are decades old (some are centuries old). But I look at history and I see that there have been movements towards progress, often pushed against but still moving forward. Artistically, scientifically, we have been a very creative nation and I expect that will continue. Our problem comes from the several things, like a failure of labor movements, a looting of social programs, etc. But the Americans of the Gilded Age must have been pretty despondent too. They could not have imagined the New Deal or the cultural and economic boom of the mid 20th century. If people whose children were worked to death in mines were able to overcome their challenges, we certainly can overcome ours.

My guess is, since SF is in decline, and many moving to Austin.

Only real choices are Georgia, Azerbaijan, Slovakia, Hungary and Uruguay. The rest are either subverted by the NGOs already (most of Europe, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Taiwan, South Korea), are about to lose to the NGOs (Czechia, Poland) or are simply not going to let you go and stay there for one reason or another (Russia, China, Serbia, Japan and so on).

They're not going to let foreigners in again for a long time, especially not ones who can only contribute English teaching at most.
The rest are the best balance between westerner friendiness, NGO/academic influence and quality of life. Like the Czech Republic is richer than Slovakia, but CR is very NGOified while Slovakia is not. Armenia has more culture and places of interest for most westerners, but they hate people from NATO states unless they're Armenian diaspora.

They'll let in foreigners but they'll make them feel so restricted and unwelcome that foreigners will lose interest. What are you using to suggest Slovakia is not NGOified? Slovakia is also a NATO country. So is Hungary.

Hungary has a pragmatic non-liberal government that should keep it together for as long as they're in power.

          especially in america actually

most places on earth, even the small town and rural areas tend to be receptive and open-minded towards culture and art
this situation doesn't exist at all in north america, where you literally HAVE to flee to a big cosmopolitan city if you want any hope of not being surrounded by systematic philistinism

You don’t know what you’re talking about and you’ve never lived outside of North America, probably never left.

Why is it that these threads always attract the biggest gays of IQfy?
Hey asshat, no one cares about what cities you think are “played out”, you’re just a poser that wants to be seen as hip and cultured rather than actually making the effort of getting cultured.
    Everyone hates your guts.

Possibly Los Angeles when a decently large group of the Zoomers over there stop being homosexuals and start a literary counter-culture.

Nope, LA will attract a lot of giant homosexual sons and daughters of the upper middle class who think they are artists, but it will not create any art.
Besides, Los Angeles is completely without soul.

They're not culturally dead at all dude. Not only does a lot of art, music, etc still get made in for example NYC, but you can also soak up a lot of historical culture in NYC very easily. There are so many landmarks, museums, parks, etc that are still there. The whole city is like a big culture museum. So if you live in NYC like I used to, you have a privilege to access endless culture, historical and current, that you can't get in fricking Buenos Aires or much other cities at all really. I've been to Boston, there's nothing there, and that's one of the biggest cities in America. You really can't compare to NYC easily. How the frick is it culturally dead? How /misc/ is your brain to see culture you dislike as "not culture"? At least admit that all the culture you like is still there to be looked at in NYC, cause the old landmarks and museums aren't gone or anything.

You don’t get it bro, people don’t want museums to jerk off to the accomplishments of the past, they want NEW culture, they want to feel they live in a time and place where culture is thriving.
It’s like Europe, a fricking museum where old people jerk off over past achievements.

I feel like I'm having a stroke whatever I see people praise China. China is just another flavor of hell if you think the west is bad. Look at what is currently going on in China. The CCP are just like the israeli elite you despise. They are very rich and only care for themselves. I guess we will all come to understand this under future rule of China.
