I almost completely forgot about vivaldi. It is lolOpera but without the lol. Do you use it on GNU+Linux or Windows, if you do use it? I hate firefox so much.
100% this. >have to edit userchrome.css to get rid of the disgusting jigsaw piece icon for extensions >takes a minute, more annoying than anything else >but at least I fricking CAN hide it
chrome just forced its new ui on me. it makes me depressed. i tried brave, it looks so ugly and the bookmark button being stuck on the left freaks me out.
Disable #chrome-refresh-2023 and #customize-chrome-side-panel flags. I'm sure they'll remove it soon because that's what they do for flags that people actually use, but for now it seems to work show as previous.
thank you. it's so disgusting that this can't be customized. absolutely dystopian.

I'm gonna save you some time, if you want to change it for a hamburger menu use the option in the pic, if you want the appmenu visible at all time select horizontal (can be seen in the pic too)
If you want to remove it go to vivaldi://experiments/ and enable css modifications, then go to settings appearance and select a folder, all css files in that folder will be loaded at start.
For removing the vivaldi button:
#main > div.mainbar > div > button.vivaldi {display:none}
Disable #chrome-refresh-2023 and #customize-chrome-side-panel flags. I'm sure they'll remove it soon because that's what they do for flags that people actually use, but for now it seems to work show as previous.
Care to expand on why you think that is? What is the point of just making a statement and not backing it up with any facts? What's even the point of this thread? Are you even human? WTF is going on????
Firefox it is still better than chrome, but it's slowly going to complete shit >can't open background images in a new tab anymore >can't screen record a streaming video anymore
Everything is overing...
their mobile app is terrible (just try to manage bookmarks and see what I mean) but it comes with ublock origin support which works on youtube so I suffer through it
Which one has better tools for reverse engineering a website's JavaScript?
Chromium seems a little better and with better headless options, but I've only just begun to wade into Ranjesh's turd ocean
Just personal data scraping stuff for fun. My friends play Path of Exile and I'm making a tool to let us automate looking up the price of meta builds in in-game currency.
Also might do something similar with comparing grocery store prices in my area
Webshit is something I know nothing about and these small projects are a way to learn more about it.
I have had enough of Firefox on Android, so I installed Brave, just to find out the fricking simplified view doesn't work and that you cannot turn off the forced dark theme for certain sites when needed. What's wrong with these browsers? Bragging about privacy, but one is so damn slow and laggy, and the other has no basic features.
I use a similar 'no tabs' layout with userChrome.css. Love it. Also have extension 'tab-less' installed. Everything gets its own window. No more tab hell. God I hate tabs so much.
>new Firefox CEO confirmed they're prioritizing adding tab groups like a week ago
firefox bros we're so fricking back
now just add vertical tabs for those spergs and we'll slowly claw our way back to like 15% marketshare in 5 years
Says who and for what applications?
[Citation Needed]
no it isnt, though its rather on par. all browsers are the same at this point anyway in everything with minimal unnoticable speed differences.
forgot to mention if you're a shizo yeah, it's way better.

uh oh
I agree. Disregard all replies above.
In in the ability to customize the appearance, and even that is still a pain in the ass I am willing to forego just to be free of the shit.
Only in*
vivaldi does that better.
I almost completely forgot about vivaldi. It is lolOpera but without the lol. Do you use it on GNU+Linux or Windows, if you do use it? I hate firefox so much.
I use it on arch+kde with some css and js mods (and some extensions too)
100% this.
>have to edit userchrome.css to get rid of the disgusting jigsaw piece icon for extensions

>still somehow the lesser of evils

Vivaldi might just be the cure. It is like Edge but without the shackles, chrome without the bars, and firefox with the cage.
can you remove the big vivaldi button on the left?
yes
thank you. I'll look into it then.

You can still access the appmenu pressing alt

I use opera GX instead. It comes with a free cripto miner.

browsers went to shit the minute Microsoft stopped developing their own engine.

Brave is the only good browed, gnome web deserves a honorable mention
Disable all the shit in Brave and be done with it. Who the frick is Leo? The Lion? Lol.
who the frick shills browsers on IQfy
Way to go, man. The one place we go to release some steam, the one place we sometimes go to get away from a world full of judgement. Ruined. Thanks.
It's hard to be an enthusiast about technology without sounding like a shill.
Speaking of which, have you guys tried windows 11? I think you'll really like it and should upgrade immediately. It is better than lonix too.
It Firefox's developer tools weren't garbage it's almost all I'd use. Also android version supports extensions like ublock which is a must
>blocks your path
have a nice day shill

Why?

Chrome is best. Use Chrome.
Or use Arc if you aren't a web dev.
I wish I could remove the title bar for Waterfuchs
I've been loving Firefox since using the OneBar theme for it, lots of vertical space. Also IQfy X and OneeChan help a lot too, though both have it.

The only things that are negatives for Firefox for me are no HDR or super resolution support. The rest is a landslide victory for Mozilla.
