They were. Everyone, including architecture snobs, agreed back in the day. Some of the worst soulless 70s modernism.
even the interiors were just seas of cubicles. Why was it such a tourist attraction?
it was le big
That's weird, I can't remember ever seeing a picture from inside the wtc. Even though I was 11 when they were attacked and lived through the whole aftermath of years of attention on them
They are currently building this frickugly thing in Hamburg even though it's more than twice the size of the highest building in the city, completely ruining it for everyone. Hamburg is a world city but it's known for its 19th century flair, classic architecture and generally being "comfy" compared to the grey urban moloch that is Berlin and the skyscraper dominated frankfurt
it was essentially an overglorified office building
Looks like a wiener and balls
There actually are remarkably few pictures from inside the WTC. There was someone who was trying to make a documentary and the only pictures they could find were from some Estonian electrician who doubled as an amateur photographer.
I probably have some around somewhere, prob some video footage even from a camcorder
>A single building
Autism at its finest
I was alive when they were still standing
Most people were
oldgay. I mean I was too, but just barely
The twin towers never existed, it was a israeli psyop to get the americans more involved in the middle east.
true
The government never existed it’s just an elaborate psyop to trick people into thowing away their money
I mean do you personally know anyone in the government? You know, one of these so called politicians.
whoa man thats a deep thinker Im having a zen moment with this statement.
the truth is: they had to be taken down. Not for any of those low IQ Mudslime reasons, but simply because modern architecture iz ghey
international style architecture (1950-1980) is usually really bland
why is it even a thing?
it was protest against pre-war era "decadent" architecture.
that sounds like a rationalization of the gay philosophy that underlies modern architecture
I went there as a kid and my memory is crossing the street and craning my neck and still not being able to see the top of them. Was too scared of heights to go to the observation deck.
was there anything in it to sightsee aside from the offices?
I went in them in 1993
what were they like? is it surreal you walked into a space that is now the middle of the air? Also, oldgay
I only saw the atirum/lobbt on my wat to the elevator because I went to the top to the observation deck. I don't remember them being all the impressive other than they were very large just as OP pic. Very high ceiling and a big square obviously. I doubt every floor had as high a a ceiling as the atrium though (which was prob 40-50 feet I am guessing).
Went to the observation at the very top.
>is it surreal you walked into a space that is now the middle of the air? Also, oldgay
When it first happened, sure was kind of surreal but I am 46 zoom zoom, many places from my youth are now "air"

kek
God I remember being 21 watching it happen on tv, to think I had only been there 7 years before that and it seemed like a lifetime (16-21). I now graduated from university in 2005 (17 years ago) which seems like it was just yesterday. It all gets surreal eventually.
