These words should be dropped from the technology wordbook
We are not architects designers chemists masters
Each one can be safely replaced with "tinkerer" "amateur" or "worker"

>We are not architects designers chemists masters
YOU might not be.

software engineering and architects are a thing, but most majority of people in the industry are just developers, who often falsely call themselves as a member of the former groups.
They don't really use the term "software engineer" in my country since a lot of the people who study the field in university don't have engineering degrees but rather a bachelors or masters in CS. That being said OP doesn't hold a degree in engineering or anything else above a GED.
why do techBlack folk do this
why they wanna be scientists and engineers so bad
what's wrong with just being a developer
in mine they legally can't lol
I don't think most people care about the official title beyond the rank implications (trainee, junior, senior etc.) or what it signals to recruiters ("database designer" for example clearly states the the applicant has experience with designing databases).
Actually there is a difference between being a "software engineer" and "software developer". different titles exist for a reason because job responsibilities vary considerably in the tech industry.
t. software engineer
In Germany the apprenticeship for programmer / (web)dev is officially called "Anwendungsentwickler" (applications developer) although people commonly also use "Programmierer".
And the one for sysadmin / IT-professional is "Systemintegrator" (systems integrator).
CS in college is called "Informatik" (informatics)
I've got my Iron Ring and my Professional Engineering designation from my countries governing body. Why can't I call myself an engineer?
>he cucked into OIQ
t un big cuck mon tabarnak
I don't speak that barbaric language
lel
Personally, I'm a programmer first and foremost. I only use software engineer, software developer, etc. for career grifting purposes
By the way, you guys 'member when the "community" tried to push for the "builder" title? Lmao
I call myself a software programmer.
