You can’t say anything more because we dont know anything about him. You don’t even know if his master was black or White

Gorden/Peter has a whole wikipedia page about him

      >You don’t even know if his master was black or White
      Yes we do
      >https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Lyons_(Louisiana)
      >Lyons was an emigrant from Ireland to the United States, born in County Leitrim about 1821 or 1822.[8][9] Lyons was 5 ft 6 in (1.68 m), with a ruddy complexion, black hair, and gray eyes

Are you moronic? Take a few minutes to think about what you just wrote.

More like involuntarily assigned task. Calling it a job implies something to the effect of payment or consent.

you know, it's funny how this seems to be the only extant picture of whipping scars despite the practice allegedly being quite common

Most slaves were not whipped on their naked back unless they were being excessively unruly and even then only one to three times consecutively. What can be inferred from this is Gordon was one uppity Black.

This "Gordon" was actually Peter, it seems:
    >"Poor Peter" is the name of Black whose the lacerated back, as presented in the original photograph, has excited both the sympathy and the indignation of every humanitarian who has seen it. Here is his own statement, taken from his lips April 2, 1863, at Baton Rouge, La., just after he entered the Provost-Marshal's office. It may do well to state that 'Peter' could speak but little English and that in broken accents. The majority of the Black folks of Louisiana are owned by Frenchmen or those of French descent, and nearly all speak French; indeed thousands were to be found along our line of march who could not speak a word of English. [...]
    >'Who whipped you, Peter?' 'Overseer Artayon Carrier whipped me—I don't remember the whipping. I was two months in bed sore from the whipping and salt brine, which Overseer put in my back. By and by my senses began to come—they said I was sort of crazy and tried to shoot everybody. I did not know it—I did not know that I had attempted to shoot anyone—they told me so. I burned up all my clothes, but I don't remember that. I never was this way (crazy) before. I don't know what make me come that way (crazy). My master come after I was whipped—saw me in bed. He discharged the overseer. They told me I attempted to shoot my wife first one. I did not shoot any one. I did not harm any one. My wife tell me I no do these things when I come away. She thought I was dead with whipping.
    >Overseer "Artayon Carrier" may be a Saint Landry Parish resident named Pierre Arthéon Carrière

I think blackgroids have some issues. After all, slavery in Dixie was deeply uncomfortable not only for White American society in the North and Midwest but also White society in Europe, who didn’t even have skin in the game. So much so that White people fought a civil war over it and 100,000 White people died over it.

Now ask yourself the following: where was the moral outrage by blacks when Moors enslaved white sex slaves, white boys to be castrated and become eunuchs, and white men to be worked to death on galleys? Would black people have fought a civil war for us? The answer is obvious no.

Black-Americans think they are same . And even if you accept they aren’t, stop blaming all Europeans for something only israelites, English, Spanish, and Portuguese did.

Slavery is inherently immoral on a materialistic basis and anyone pro-slavery, chattel or otherwise, is a worm who should be sent to a reeducation camp for their own good and the good of society.

    >What more can I say?
You could say that whipping was a punishment applied to freemen as well in at the very least the first half of the 19th century.
Sailors dying from whippings in the royal navy were a thing during the napoleonic wars.
