We have a base 14 billion light year figure for the big bang and we can calculate how wide the universe (atleast the part with matter) should be and with our own estimates it doesnt get that more bigger or denser than from where we currently are.
There could be plenty of light from starts further away that hasn't reached us yet.

We continue to exist through them as ripples in the flowing time and space.
