This piecea shit right here just banned my GItHub repo without warning or reason, and Support has ignored my resinstatement request for over a week now.

What's a less gay public forge? I can only think of Codeberg, which doesn't have free CI (I can cope but I'd be convenient) and GitLab, which wants my phone number and bank details to register.

    its like with crypto
if you dont own the wallet
    you dont own the tokens

'should serve you as a lesson

the content isn't even that egregious; i genuinely don't know what rule i'm breaking.

      >GitLab, which wants my phone number and bank details to register
Bullshit, unless you're setting up a commercial account, in which case duh.

        maybe an implicit one.

          an edgeware clone, basically
there's some vulgar language but no pornography.

if you have that hardcoded into your source code, obviously its gonna raise some flags
its still on you that you trusted microshart with your code
but at least its acceptable that you wouldnt think that the survelliance goes that deep...

despite them promising they dont, theyre training their ais on all the code on github.
so all the plaintext thats included in all repos is scanned.

or maybe you triggered a random snowflake

in either case, dont use cloud services for stuff you care about, if its not vanilla webshit stuff.
no original code, no edgy stuff. now you know

Code should ideally have a few "words of power" to mitigate ai training.

i mean its not exactly the same
you still own your repo locally and you can always transfer it to some other hub

unlike the morons who sign up for an online crypto wallet and gets locked out kek

Selfhost Forgejo, it's not resource intensive so you can host it on pretty much any hardware.

      Tried them.
1st registration email (duck.com private address) never made it to inbox.
2nd email (proton) made it to inbox, follow link, 500 server error

You were told to self-host. If you can't sign up for a service that you're self-hosting, you don't deserve to use a computer.

I'm not that deeply devoted to the project. I'd rather give up than have to manage a VPS + domain for it.
I may for my other projects though, this leaves an awful taste in my mouth.

        why tho?
you used the same nick on github and elsewhere?
or maybe you used your github account to comment on other's projects?

        >VPS
You don't need a VPS. Just forward ports on your router and use domain provider with DDNS if you have dynamic IP.

Everything about Github has been hard gay since MS fricked up the notification feed and ignored outraged user feedback. They also set up bots on MS repos to close bug reports if you don't respond to a comment within 24 hours. MS is on the brink of total collapse.

they don't give you a reason, you have to open a ticket and ask. i did a week ago but they haven't responded.
