Yeah. Its seriously not that interesting at all. Dissociatives were better. After I tried it I was kind of annoyed with the hole scene and how annoying people are about psychs. I honestly think that if you love that stuff you have a low IQ or something.

Try 5 Meo DMT, or 5 grams of mushrooms in silent darkness with a blindfold

I did 4 grams of shrooms the second time I try them. It was like having an schizophrenic episode

It's not for you then, stop doing it, it legit can make some people manifest schizophrenia, some cannot handle even the slightest tug on the anchor of sanity

Just before psychedelic as a term was invented, they were called by the new term, psychotomimetic. These drugs were thought to replicate the experience of psychosis. It's very normal for people to have the other anon's experience.

I did LSD but my friend and I ruined the tabs while trying to cut them in half so I only did a low dose. It was a nice introduction. My friend has used it before and said it was a good experience for me to have. In a few months we're gonna do it again

And I forgot to say I much preferred weed and ecstasy to it. Weeds my favourite drug.

it's not that deep. just stuff like being mesmerized by the texture or sone fabric. basicly on par with higher quality erowid trip reports.
i've only done ween but this comming 20th i intend to change that. i've got salvia and shrooms already purchased. i've done my research and i spent a lot of time tripsitting my friends in highschool so i know what i'm getting into as much as one can.

      >mesmerized by the texture or sone fabric
It was more the realization that the fabric is a reflection of the level of technological achievement of a particular time, not just geeking on the patterns.

even so that level of insight isn't peculiar to huxley. your average stoner will make observations about how perfectly flat their phone is and how it's made of materials from all over the world. i maintain that it is nothing more than a high quality erowid trip report.

No because I distrust shamans and intelligence agencies

as you should. however, you can indulge in psychs without submitting to either.

Yeah, in the way that Tolkien is like a high quality nursery rhyme, I suppose that is correct.

no, not like that. there is nothing in it that would look the least bit out of place on erowid. huxely has nothing to say that any other reasonably intelligent person might say of their first trip on lsd.

I've not spent much time there and will take your word for it. Yes, the quality of the report depends highly on the mind it originates from.

            >"i have read minds"
            >"i fully believe that eventually i will learn how to fly"
this guy is either a self deluded loser or actually insane and psychadelics are at the root of that.

is obviously not going to generate anything worth remembering.
Doors was ok, but Huxley's fiction is better. I'm probably just giving him more credit based on his other works.
            I will also second that

I agree with this anon. The way people talk about Doors & Heaven and Hell I was expecting something pretty revelatory and insightful but it's really just a reddit-tier trip report. I've grown to dislike Huxley over the years. I find something like Alan Watts' The Joyous Cosmology much more enjoyable and insightful.

Watts is much better in terms of philosophy, though I am not sure how much of his was generated from dabbling with psychs.

Don't do salvia. Shit drug. Very dysphoric high. Try dmt instead. Better trip. Good synergy with classic psychs too.

Being a docile quiet kid in a hippy college is annoying because every fricking guy thinks they're in a movie and they need to be the one to open your mind and make you feel, man.

You ever been laid? If virgin, psychedelics might help you understand women better and get laid.

Just before psychedelic as a term was invented, they were called by the new term, psychotomimetic. These drugs were thought to replicate the experience of psychosis. It's very normal for people to have the other anon's experience.

Bit of both. Can and does happen. But some people are built different. Psychosis can be insightful in any case oddly enough.

They're worth it for a singular unique experience, but I think if you develop a habit or a routine of it, that's where it becomes corrosive.

      Agreed.

Salvia was fricking weird the one time I did it, I thought I was in 2 different places at the same time. Bothered the hell out of me for days for some reason.

Mushrooms are fun, but you gotta be in the right head space for it and with the right people. Annoying people become unbearable while tripping, I hate sitting around inside so I usually end up wandering around in my yard like a goon, laughing at all sorts of goofy shit. Colors change, other objects appear to breathe (expand and contract) and your thoughts get weird and slippery.
