Knowledge is not harmful, and no part of Christianity says it is. It's the pursuit of knowledge that becomes dangerous. When you do anything to obtain knowledge, that's when it becomes an issue. As for the old Gods, my personal beliefs dictate that they're all either demons or angels interpreted as individual Gods and Goddesses.
