It's only good if you want to talk about books with homosexuals or feminist b***hes. StoryGraph is less bloated and has better info in the books' pages than Goodreads.
Website is ok, it's got a great database, but could get a bit more modern, like get better UI, better search with filters and such. Userbase is just your average people, so mostly not worth listening to and better to just ignore.
The women on there are insufferable because they all seem to hate any book written before the year 2000. It triggers them to no end that classic literature didn't have POC's and girlbosses
Its only real use is keeping a list of books you want to buy. Reviews are garbage because the site is dominated by women who prefer John Green to Dostoevsky
Orange Man! Planting orchards in every mind! Have not the globes of your succor been the bane of scurvy and every craven villain! O, Lemon Woman! Squeeze for us thy tender mercies! Let the juice of your tender rind banish every woe! Lime Brother! Friend! Twist your citrus into our hearts that we may in time feel the comforts of your nativity! Yea, Grapefruit! Our sister! Most generous of all! Perhaps the pink heart of your tender flesh shall appease every furtive underhand! For shame! Ye enemies of the Citriquart! Let Vitamin C burn out your eyes in their sockets!

People are scared to call something they dislike bad

I just wish I could rate things with a single click.
It all depends on the book you are looking up. The more niche something is the more likely I’m going to believe the readers who searched it out
I just use it to catalogue, but you could very well do that with a spreadsheet. I don't know
Greatly underutilized IP, only really decent for cataloging books on Amazon while providing slightly better reviews.
I’m presuming Notes from Underground gave them the ick
>woman
>woman
>woman
what could this mean?
Ok fine, I'll read Dostoyevsky

I like using to keep a list of books I want to read. I don't look at reviews or recommendations because they are pozzed
It's a really good site that has a lot of cool features.

Everyone already knows the userbase is moronic, but what I hate is the search system, it's totally fricked
Full of pseuds with absolutely no self awareness.
But enough about IQfy
There's a good blocklist on Github that filters out all of the women. That alone improves the reviews 10 fold.
Post it homie
I use it but the idea that I can’t find fellow edgelords on the site to be a solid negative
I like it. That's it. I don't care about it's userbase. As far as I am concerned, I am the only user and the app was made for me alone.
>reading a review
>suddenly orange man bad rant out of nowhere
Uhh okay?

>ask for rec on a genre you like
>random moron goes on a rant about why they hate said genre
