Do not attribute to malice what is adequately explained by stupidity. Especially when dealing with Electron devs. Doubly so when they have a track record like the Discord devs.

No. Do investigate. Don't claim it was done on purpose unless the investigation says it was though.

i used to think this then started shopping at SPAR where half the prices are slightly off (20p here, 50p there, etc)
because im autistic with near photographic memory i remember the correct prices
they never update them (wrong price stays on shelf after complaint), and the prices are never lower than shown
SPAR is malicious, dont shop there

I used to work at a SPAR, we always had wrong prices on shit because it was changing daily and unless you had access to the office, I.e. the guy the rest of the staff probably hates, you couldn't print new labels yourself.
There's no big ploy, staff are just lazy when you pay them minimum wage for shit work

Don't you have electronic price tags that auto update according to the database where you live?

An ineffective, spineless, neutered, captured government that refuses to regulate the shady profiteering of corporations is why the world is getting exponentially shittier, and why Discord is going to do all of the unfun things: because it's NOT illegal

I don't think it is allowed. They're trying very hard to play it off as a joke, but they just revealed to (quite literally) the whole internet that they used their app to establish a botnet. They're definitely getting sued for this and the poor jeet intern who implemented this is getting fired

It's called money laundering, disguised usually as a legitimate sale of something with an inflated value or in this case as monetized views

    >YT says it's legit so can't/won't do anything

Complete BS. They demonetize people every day that didn't violate terms at all. They sure as shit would be reneging on this if they wanted to or pulling out the lawyers.

But they want this to happen, there's a good reason they do.

Otherwise you can bet everyone and their mother is going to start figuring out a way to do what Discord did and then b***hing to YT when they don't let it happen.
