you can still play java minecraft if you have windows installation from prior minecraft bedrock release and never updated your java minecraft into bed rock and in addition, you have at least once played with the said computer and said minecraft online (if you never played even once, it has not saved your user as local user)
if you have a local user save you can play offline even if there is no offline world on your computer, just create a new game
but if you simply installed the game on the year 2010 and never logged online you are out of luck, however why did you even buy the game if that is the case?
I understand though that not many have a windows install from 2010 which has not interconnected with a web of connected pages ever since

Very cool but why would anyone care? Its not like Minecraft's copy-protection is actually hard to bypass. There are countless ways to play the game without a license.
can you find the games java version anymore
its the only one worth playing
pollymc

Are you moronic?

i chuckled
why would you give your money to israelites?

I use legacy launcher, it's on flathub
Or you can just legally play Java Minecraft on Linux with your Microsoft account or 100% offline, whatever you want to do with your game on Linux that you own. Some times I can't even understand how cucked Windows and macOS users can be. Like what is even going on in your head? "b-but my favorite Apple corporation needs to sell my data illegally to China and Russia!!!". Ok?
wtf chill autist. we're not installing your janky broken os for games. fricking things barely work if at all on there
>Microsoft account
Hard pass.
Minecraft beta 1.7.3 is the best version
i never understood the distinction between versions. do older minecraft games have some sort of intricate biome generator that was neutered over time?
new features, interactions, biomes, mobs, etc, like every other game
the added weeb trees which look nice
no i mean, why do people like the OLDER versions more? i kee phearing about wanting to back to "pre-1.8" whatever that means
The entire vibe of the game pre-1.8 is vastly different. It's much slower, the world generation is more fantasy-like, there were less bad mechanics like hunger and sprinting (which makes escaping mobs too easy).
They're autists who can't handle change
Cause the adventure update killed a lot of the survival aspect of the game making it trivial, while also adding a chore to the late game that no one wanted. It was already simple enough to avoid danger in the surface just using a bed, stackable food made it rather pointless because you never die to anything if you're half decent, except maybe a creeper, thanks to free health regen. Meanwhile you get annoyed and slowed down every once in a while while you're building later if you forget to eat. Isn't like newer versions are devoid of cool things but the simplicity of the older version has something special on it. There was very little but everything counted in one way or another.
incredible autismpost
Different visuals
Different biome gen
Occasionally things are different under the hood
But more than anythingk, there are pretty vibrant mod communities for multiple versions. 1.7.10 still has huge modpacks for example. That's the main reason why people play older versions. Every major update breaks mods and some mods people are really attached to may not be updated for more modern versions quickly or ever. One of the most popular /vg/ servers was on 1.6 for ages because Traincraft wasn't updated. There's also popular stuff like Botania, Thaumcraft, TiCon, Tetra, IC2, the list goes on. These mods aren't always updated to the latest versions which is why some people will stay on whatever version they need in order to host their modpack.
The beta autists are a small but vocal contingent who (not unreasonably) like the game's older aesthetics and don't care for the RPG/combat focused shit that's been the majority of post-1.0 content.
life was better when those versions were new
Wut you can download old versions of Minecraft for free using the official launcher. Anything before they added the demo is fair use.
Beta 1.7.3 truly was the best version
are you moronic? Minecraft Java edition is still playable and getting updates. Java edition and Bedrock Edition are separate products, with Bedrock being what used to be Minecraft Pocket Edition.
is Java edition now a free game? asking for a friend
since the original java accounts have surely been deleted by now
Anything before they added the demo versions (around 1.3 IIRC) is free, or you can just run a pirate launcher that supports offline mode (basically asks a fake account but bullshits the auth process so is never actual done) look at them on GH.
