What do I have to lose from using both?

Or I could just stick with the solution that doesn't break older websites or websites that do not handle sensitive data and therefore have no reason to use HTTPS, while also ensuring that all requests that can be handled by HTTPS are handled by HTTPS. Maybe 20 years from now when we're all using our biometric ID to consume a walled garden of perhaps a few dozen government-approved websites I'll uninstall HTTPS Everywhere. Til then.

EFF has discontinued it and even they state you should uninstall it and use the browser settings.

Let's say there is a very simple website, that is nothing but simple HTML pages, basically how the web started.
Why would I need HTTPS to access these pages?

      Anonymous

those pages are unsecure, unsafe, and unlicensed. you need to be protected from them for your own good
