A few months ago an anon here made a program thingie to extract animations from it and I cannot figure out how to use
I’m a total tech illiterate so I just gotta know how to compile it

I wasted way too much time on this. Especially annoying to find out that none of the encryption done in the main executable mattered for the video files, since only the main executable was protected with vmprotect.
Some issues: the old virtuagirl .vghd asf files are upside down for some reason, and some files seem to have some garbage leftover between frames, it seems like they have encoded bounding boxes somewhere (I think lzh encoded in the encrypted metadata).
I have a larger C++ program as well using ffmpeg for playback etc., to basically do what the original apps do but with linux support. But the code is too garbage to post.

Tf? You can literally read the source. Virtuagirl itself was malware, but chances are the malware in it isn't even compatible with modern Windows. But that's not even relevant since this guy's program rips all the content from them so you don't even have to run them.
This also brings us one step closer to a modern, malware-free, open source, cross-platform implementation of these windowsitters.
