I generally hate popsoi educators but this guy is really hard to hate. He seems like a genuinely good guy who heckin' loves science (in a good way).
Unironically used to produce some of the best content on YouTube. Kinda fell off in 2015/2016 with the whole Red bullshit, but Mindfield wasn't that bad. His videos still aren't bad, but I don't really like the new memey zoomer pandering Vsauce. He's always acted intentionally strange in his videos but now it's too much.
I forgot he existed. I remember watching him and then he suddenly vanished. Reddit tier humor and explanation.
I thought his more recent video about the future of reasoning was interesting. Especially the 'filter theory' where super intelligent life isn't ubiquitous in the universe because it's filtered by "hyperobjects"; Compounding problems of complex systems we can't solve because we're relying on 'reasoning', a creaturely and evolved social tool that can't compete with the break-neck pace of said problems.
