Niceness of Behaviour in Women, is only a Dress or Paint, which they use, the better to set off their Beauty.

Womens Vertue is frequently nothing, but a Regard to their own Quiet, and a Tenderness for their Reputation.

      CCLXXVII
Women often fancy themselves in Love, when there is no such matter. The Diversion of an Amour, the little Commotions that an Intrigue raises in their Breasts ; the natural Inclination to be Courted, and the Trouble of denying, makes them fancy that what they feel is Passion ; when, in Truth, it is nothing but a coquet Humour.

What about the outliers? A woman that doesn't get along with other women, other women immediately dislike and distrust her, has niche hobbies, an odd personality, and has schizophrenia. She is, as you say, not like other girls. I'm talking about a real woman before you jump to any conclusions.

Schopenhauer should have never written about women. now people will accuse pessimists of being incels.

      Anonymous

      >now people will accuse
Why would you care about that? Anyone who uses the term "incel" unironically is just a woman or some oversocialized bug. It would have been very hypocritical for Schopenhauer to conceal the truth about women because their nature is one of the primary arguments for self-sufficient solitude as the optimal life path.

If you're not an incel you're not a pessimist. All pessimism is linked to man's knowledge of woman

        Anonymous

It's also why you'll never find a genuine female pessimist. Pessimism is completely foreign to the female psyche, because it would require existential memory and a soul which transcends the flux of materiality. Women are fundamentally incapable of rising above the flux of pleasure and pain to see how the tide works. This is why Buddha said that it's impossible for a woman to ever become fully enlightened. At best they can prepare themselves for a more auspicious birth in the next life.

I'm extremely skeptical of this holding any real truth. men are just as vain as women, at least to me they are.

Everybody in the 21st century is as vain as a woman. Its why everything sucks so much dick. Blame the Enlightenment.

            >men are just as vain as women
Where did I say that men weren't vain? My post said nothing about vanity. Vanity is often a symbol of a higher form of being, women's vanity is transient and insubstantial. In fact it's hard to even call a woman vain because that would be attributing too much personality to her.

NTA but how would you explain Weininger an heroing shortly after the completion of his "Sex and Character", a book Wittgenstein was very fond of and which was described by Strindberg, the swedish playwright and author of "Mademoiselle Julie" as having solved the Woman Question?
I would also add Montherlant's "Les Jeunes Filles" to the two aforementioned books to complete the definitive "Woman Question Trilogy"

I listen to an audiobook of Schopenhauer's on Women in the gym at least once a week. I get a great pump, and it is a valuable reminder that no matter how flirty or fun they might try to present, it is all dissimulation.

Also, if you are not yet at the point where you are over women, you can use his advice on women to get laid rather easily. They are 'big children' and if you treat them like that, they will fall for you far more than if you treat them like equals (without prejudice to the requirement that you are attractive)

Well considering that Until 1974, women in the U.S. could not apply for and own a credit card in her own name, and that only 10% of women had jobs in 1840, that women were legal properties in the 1700s and couldnt control her earnings, then yeah it makes sense that women were supposed to spend the mans money when they couldnt really get it themselves.
