Well that was fricking lame. It's a miracle Ridley Scott and Denis Villeneuve were inspired to make such great films from this typo filled trash heap. Are all Dick novels this garbage?

Low effort bait
>typo filled trash heap
That would be an issue of the edition you read, not the work itself.
Unless you can tell us why it is bad and what you did not like we can not answer your question. But I am sure some anons will be along to say things like "based" and "filtered" and you can then cherry pick responses to enforce what ever you want to believe.

One of the more insecure posts I've ever read.
How is that insecure?
sneed
I hated it too.
I've read three pkd novels including this. I think his ideas/concepts are greater than his prose skills. I don't recall muchnof the plot but much of the reading pleasure was in the little details like the mood machine and the coin-operated apartment.
Yeah as a prose writer hes not there, he's like insane schizo out there stuff that I'm happy to read. But sometimes the writing just gets so like middling-badish that the illusion is broken and i feel like a schizoid is messaging me.
That is one of his worst books besides Man in the High Castle. Read A Scanner Darkly or Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said.
>That is one of his worst books besides Man in the High Castle.
You clearly have not read much K. Dick. Electric Sheep isn't among his best but it's far far from his worst.
You fricking stupid wanker.
What's blowing up your skirt?
It's a good book, but PKD's repetition of 'poop sheet' throughout the entire middle part of it pissed me off and it's the outstanding memory I have of it. Noticing certain words or phrases being used over and over is my autistic pet peeve.
OP you should try to turn your emphaty box on or else its broken.
>Denis Villeneuve were inspired
Yeah I don't know where he got the idea from to make scenes one colour swathes of barren nothingness. Truly, the painter of Hollywood.
>Are all Dick novels this garbage?
I've read 3, one was shit, one was mediocre, the third had massive highs and lows.
He was more of a conceptual guy who got by on the strength of his imagination and the volume of his output. His plots suck wieners.
he was an schizo writing under amphetamines in order to meet ends, of course his plots suck
He doesn't get brownie points for being a drug addled homosexual, his books suck
IDK but OP's mom never cared much for brownie points, contrary to what she public ally claimed.
Brownie points could never take me to day 2. So idk what you fake philistines are talking about.
He never cared much for plot, they were just a formality for him, he had ideas he wanted to explore and the plot was a vehicle for that and subservient.
Well I liked it.
Tbh if you didn't like Android you probably won't like a lot of his work a lot of his books hit on similar themes and ideas, try scanner darkely or man in the high tower I guess since those are novels not written in his pulp Sci fi style
I admit I've only read the first chapter of Android and found it aesthetically so dreary that I stopped reading. One can already see the strength of his imagination but somehow there is a lack of style or any higher sense of beauty that almost killed it for me.
