Harry Potter, start at book 4.
Why not the Tale of Sir Topas by Chaucer? If you want knightly chivalry that is a silly parody which turns the notion upon its head.
we have a contaiment zone for you in your general it is.
cringe
Wait, I didn't realize I was responding to a namegay (late night last night). Disregard this post and imagine I followed the dignified path of ignoring the namegay.

Don't bother past book 2
Joe Abercrombie's First Law series.
Are you open to LNs? Then I would recommend Spice and Wolf. It's an economics-focused fantasy series about a merchant and his minor pagan goddess companion.
We have a containment thread for you queers.
sorry mummy
Where?
the chronicles of thomas the unbeliever is my favourite series, just bother with the first set of three books. the second set of three is good but but not as good, and adds nothing to the first three.
the story is quite good, but even if it wasn't good the writing style of the author is amazing.
>science fiction set in way old land
>the way the author describes the landscape and scenes is consistently beautiful throughout the three books
>miserable old guy is transported to beautiful great best land, is able to help people but doesnt want to.
>half the comments ive seen people post on it really like it, the other half say its reading through some dude being miserable and wanting him to die the whole time and they hated it
you're not really supposed to like the main character which i find really interesting. its as if the protagonist is the antagonist half the time.
also really sets the idea of are you morally obligated to help people, is it wrong of you if you just don't want to.
Bernard Cornwell, the master if hist-fi, takes on the Arthurian legend.
The Darkness that Comes Before by R Scott Bakker
Richard Laymon’s Beast hOuse
The Three Musketeers.
GOT looks like a fairy tale next to the kinda stuff that happens in that thing.
Red Rising bretty gud
>Gormenghast
>Once & Future King
