War
It's called War and Peace with war in the beginning for a reason.
but what came before the war?
if there is no threat of punishment there is no criminal act
>if there is no threat of punishment there is no criminal act
Stealing is stealing whether there is a threat of punishment or not. A child taking another child's toy without consent is stealing even if there is no threat of punishment.
it's not a crime if there's no law to dictate that it's a crime, as anon said: there's no crime without the threat of punishment
theft is not a crime without law but the other child or some guardian might still punish the kid
A crime isn't defined by the presence of punishment though. There can be laws but no punishment or punishment that is never carried out. One can break a law, take jaywalking and nothing will ever come of it does that mean no law was broken?
The only crime is getting caught. Everything else is vapid talmudic lawyering.
which came first: the madness or the civilization?
one day, long ago a law was laid down which defined criminal acts and inscribed punishments for them. prior to that, there was no definition of crime. I say the punishment came first. the other two (including picrel) are harder to answer, I think
What came first: Crime or Punishment?
Punishment only exists because of crime, you don't punish unless there is a suspected wrongdoing, otherwise it is simply abuse.
the chicken
Things were laying eggs millions of years before chickens evolved, anon.
well what came first eggs or the thing that lays eggs millions of years before chickens evolved?
War was always here. Before man was, war waited for him. The ultimate trade awaiting its ultimate practitioner.

I seem to recall that "War and Peace" is actually a mistranslation, in particular of the old Russian "миpъ", which in this case was intended to mean "World", specifically the society around War.
did i get duped or is there substance to such a claim?
what came first: the world or the peace?
The religious position: peace.
The naturalist position: war.
