      >It is common for atheists to hold funeral services, and you do not have to be an atheist in order to attend. Also referred to as Humanist funerals, these services do not have religious undertones - so there’s no mention of god, prayers, or the person’s spirit finding its way in the afterlife. Instead, atheist memorial services are often focused on the remembrance of the person who has passed. While atheist funeral services can have a lot of variation, there are often elements that are recognizable. If there’s a visitation, there will most likely be a casket and a gathering of loved ones. There may be flower arrangements, photos, candles, or a non-religious reading to cause reflection. Atheists may choose to have a traditional burial, but cremation tends to be more common since there aren’t any religious doctrines that dictate burial. Keeping the loved one’s ashes in a cremation urn or ceramic keepsake is also common. Artisan urns with handcrafted features are ideal, since there are many modern and abstract cremation urn designs that don’t have religious connotations.

Laos’ top 10 exports accounted for three-quarters (74.6%) of the overall value of its global shipments.

Fertilizers was the fastest grower among the top 10 export categories, up by 290.7% from 2021 to 2022.

In second place for improving export sales was unknitted or non-crocheted clothing and accessories via a 127.5% advance.

Laos’s shipments of electrical machinery and equipment posted the third-fastest gain in value, up by 61.1%.

The leading decliner among Laos’ top 10 export categories was paper including items made from paper, thanks to a -7.2% year-over-year reduction.

The above listed product categories are at the two-digit Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) code level.

Drilling down to the more granular four-digit HTS codes, electrical energy represents Laos’ most valuable exported product at 24.7% of the country’s total. In second place was unwrought gold (8.9%) trailed by potassic fertilizers (6.3%), uncoated paper (5.4%), natural rubber (4.5%), copper ores and concentrates (4.1%), dissolving chemical woodpulp (3.5%), manioc tubers, sweet potatoes and yams (3.3%), phone devices including smartphones (2.2%), then unknitted and non-crocheted suits or trousers (2.1%).

You don't meet God when you die, that wouldn't be until the resurrection. Death is just oblivious sleep where you don't even get to experience the world he made. Look at https://www.youtube.com/shorts/5kAte0NX8Nc

are you telling me christians don't understand that subjectively what you describe would be tantamount to an instantaneous meeting with gawd, since they would be unconscious for the intervening duration?
also, not watching videos. argument by video is for illiterates who either cannot write or cannot even read.

Christians do not believe that they get a "meeting with gawd", the Gospels are quite clear. After death you experience a dreamless sleep until Yeshua returns and turns your body back on. So, I suppose you technically "meet [sic] gawd" when Yeshua turns your body back on, but you don't ascend to the heavens and get judged or whatever, that's just a folk holdover from Asatru and Hellenism.

They often do. My brother-in-law's father died recently in the hospital. In his last hours one of the things he said was that he was looking forward to going to his true home.
I don't think he knew that you technically sleep until a final resurrection according to the Bible, but either way he understood that from his subjective point of view he would soon be experiencing something pleasant.

So he didn't hasten it, but when it was inevitable, he wasn't terrified of it.

        Literal condemned heresy.

Literally just look at St Gregory the Great and Eustrathios of Constantinopole both condeming it despite both being on different parts of christiandom.

          >Literal condemned heresy.
So is capital punishment now lol. The Catholic church always bends to its culture. The Hellenistic world believed you go to heaven when you die if you're worthy and like everything else Catholicism let it ooze into them. The Orthodox are no different except for (wisely) not wanting to be told what to do by some guy in Italy.

It's clearly what the Bible teaches. "In Sheol, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom" - Ecclesiastes 9:10. This is the one time the Bible explicitly and directly addresses the question of what the mental experience of the dead is like: there isn't one.

Elsewhere it incessantly refers to it as sleep. Over and over and over again, in both the Old Testament and the New Testament.

It completely fails to make any mention anywhere of this pre-resurrection golden dimension that people have to look forward to. There is one passage of particular note that describes what awaits the righteous after death, in Isaiah 57. Isaiah 57:1 says "The righteous man perishes, and no one lays it to heart; devout men are taken away, while no one understands".

Alright, here it is! Here we'll finally hear about what awaits the righteous man and why it's alright he dies. Can't wait to hear all about hea-
"He shall enter into peace; They shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness."

Oh. Hm. Just sleep again. Because that's what happens.

          >What is the parable of the rich man and poor lazarus?
A parable lol. Jesus taught with them in his public ministry; he was fond of riddles with massive hyperbole. If you don't think that's true then please go move a mountain by praying, and be sure to inspect your bakery to make sure there's no literal yeast from a Pharisee in there.

Here are a few things to keep in mind when attending an atheist or Humanist funeral service. It’s not time for a debate. If you hold specific religious beliefs, refrain from sharing those ideas with surviving family members. Avoid religious symbols. Even if a particular symbol – like a cross, crescent, or Bible reference - is important to you, it shows a lack of empathy to those who do not share those same beliefs. Pay your respects appropriately. Avoid saying things like, “He/she is in heaven now” or “He/she is looking down on us as an angel.” Instead, offer your condolences in a way that does not refer to religious ideas like, “He/She will be greatly missed” or “I am very sorry for your loss.” With a little compassion and thoughtful etiquette, it’s possible to pay your respects appropriately - even if a person’s beliefs are different from your own.

Pascal’s wager unironically makes sense, and I say this as an agnostic. It makes sense to repent on your death bed.

Nah it only makes sense if you think there's a decent chance the religion you're wagering on is true to begin with.
It could also be that you'll be punished for wagering, punished for trying to butter up a deity, punished for wagering on a specific deity and not another one and so on.
