Please move out of your mother's house. You might actually get to live a life worth living. I began to get published as soon as I left the nest, because I can now have a place to think and write without interruptions.

            >Nice humble brag, homosexual.
Is that a reddit idiom? It wasn't humble. It's the truth. You are nothing because you are undeveloped.
            >Don't care that you published some reddit slop.
It's in a highly selective literary journal edited by a big name critic.
            >I am happy with my station in life
Why are you so defensive then?
            >and am most comfortable living with my parents.
That's because you haven't grown out of being a ten year old. You need to experience the rawness of life to be able to write, let alone understand the greats like Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, and McCarthy.

Dead Souls, Oblomov and Fathers & Sons get discussed on occasion. I have a fondness for Gogol.

            >It is not necessary to say much about this tailor; but, as it is the custom to have the character of each personage in a novel clearly defined, there is no help for it, so here is Petrovitch the tailor.
            >...As we have mentioned his wife, it will be necessary to say a word or two about her. Unfortunately, little is known of her beyond the fact that Petrovitch has a wife, who wears a cap and a dress...

That's great! I've been on lit for just over 6 months, so I didn't really have a chance to see those discussed on the same level as something like War & Peace

Trad larp and tourism largely reduced the Russians on IQfy to Dostoevsky and Tolstoy although Bulgakov maintains a small following. Pushkin comes up on occasion but generally only as /misc/tard bait because grandpa was black! We had a Lermontov shill up until a few months ago,

We will probably get some more discussion on them once school starts, summer tends to be mostly memes and bait and we are still recovering from shutdown tourism.

I'm not Moldovan nor live anywhere near Moldova, neither am I connected to it in any way, I just got it and it's nice. Does this make me Kafkaesque?

Looks more like geargay than degree gay especially considering how hard you are trying to prove yourself with "just trust me bro." But go ahead, prove you have a music degree and not just the laughable minor many get for playing in the jazz band and taking some music appreciation classes which is what I suspect since you said "degree in Jazz" instead of Jazz Studies which is what the degree actually is called.

It was a BA in Jazz Performance you semantic c**t. You raged that I own music equipment, implying that I don't use it. I responded that I do use it, and why I invested in it (I have a degree in Jazz, and I gig every weekend). You continued your moronic screeching, and now we are here.

I just posted a pic of my chair, you (not two different people) threw a fit about having music equipment. I didn't say I was a Chad, I don't think most people imagine jazz players as Chads. I've literally only responded to your comments about me pointing out where they are wrong. You can be mad about it or you can let it go. I don't know why you felt the need to go off topic in the first place.

I don't have a set reading space, I just treat every space I'm in as a reading space. Since I was young I learned how to tune out the world around me and immerse myself in books. Part of this is because I never had much privacy as a kid, and preferred books to people.

So basically, wherever I am I must also read.

In some states the prisons are a part of the state library system. I worked in my schools’s library for a few months. Every week or two a driver would take books that prisoners requested and deliver them to the prisons, then bring back books that needed to be returned to their home libraries. It is a super cool system.

that is actually very cool. Sometimes I think that if I went to prison I could probably really enjoy myself by being able to spend all of my time finally reading all the books I want to read.
