Holy God does outlook and teams make me want to kill myself, good integration though

      Anonymous

only bad thing about teams/outlook is how slow it is

this has to be atleast a contenter for the top spot, rivalled only by QEMU (*another* one of bellards creations)

      Anonymous

      i dont mind outlook.
teams is bad but i think thats a good explanation of ui vs ux, the ui is ok, i know where to click etc, but its impossible to do any actual task i want to do with it.
all ui is bad now. i think it started with zero content websites abusing css in the late 2000s and just snowballed somehow.
      windows 10 is unusable imo.

Yes, FFMPEG command line is absolute garbage.
Even when you use a text editor to construct the commands it's hard to use.

Why can't it just take a config file so you don't have to cram everything on a single line?

        Anonymous

Maybe you could make a (free and open source) program that builds the command line for you?

the thing I hate most about ffmpeg is it's ubiquity, look up anything about video editing and ffmpeg shows up eventually, even seemingly from scratch systems will use an ffmpeg library which literally just does a system call to ffmpeg, it's maddening, why is THIS the only thing we have what the actual frick

        Anonymous

It's the best. Even propritards can compile without GPL code to embed it into their malware.
If your codec isn't supported by ffmpeg, it's not a real codec yet.

Turns out decoding video is so annoying that nobody on earth was willing to do it more than once

        >why is THIS the only thing we have
Video decoding/encoding is really fricking hard to do well. I would argue that NOT using ffmpeg is insane.

Listen, you have baby duck syndrome, the gimp ui is shit and it”s shit on purpose to see how many of you morons will defend it.

Why can I use Krita, photoshop, paint.net, coral draw/paint, photopea with no issues but using gimp feels like a punch in the face?

    any sharepoint 365 users?
that the main page of a sharepoint by default has a list of document folders on the right 1/5th of the screen and if you click one it doesnt move to the document window it expands your selection in that tiny 1/5th part instead?
how you cant right click or open anything in a new tab?
how you open a pdf it opens in a new tab but a word document opens in the viewer in the same tab so when you get used to closing pdfs you close sharepoint instead?
    that theres no tree view?
that you go back a folder it puts you to the top of where you were looking? (theres no open in new tab remember)
its absolute dogshit of the highest order.

When they first switched to this, if you started swiping from the green circle you couldn't swipe up far enough to answer the call. You were supposed to start from the bottom of the screen. I guess touch screens were too shit to just use on screen buttons.
