Listened to 20 mins of some lecture and this freak said judges will sentence people guilty 99% of the time if they didnt eat lunch. Proceeded to disregard everything this moron said. Another generic pop academic israelite.

Judges and courts intentionally structure the docket so that more complex cases come up early in the day and after breaks. As the session progresses the cases are usually cut and dry guilty decisions.

It is funny that if you look at it through Plato's concept of justice, it is very fitting.

a semester of quantum mechanics would forever shatter any notion of free will

Quantum mechanics supports free will. Was your brainlet IQ too overwhelmed by the basic math in your undergrad baby "semester of quantum mechanics" or why did you never hear about physics Nobel laureate Sir Roger Penrose?

penrose's ideas about consciousness are rightfully mocked by quantum physicists, philosophers and neuroscientists alike
he was a brilliant guy but now he's a crank with crank ideas

Truth is not a matter of democracy. His ideas are supported by evidence, have explanatory power and have never been refuted. He follows in the footsteps of von Neumann, the founding father of the mathematical formalism of QM, who first suggested a connection between QM and consciousness. But surely your regurgitator undergrad brain in its "trust the experts" mode knows better and will surprise me with a brilliant refutation. What will it be? Ad hominem, appeal to authority or perhaps a strawtransman?

Free will is self-evident to anyone who experiences it. I'm sorry to hear you're an NPC.

his intro lecture is entirely about not internalizing biological thinking into politics. He emphasizes punctuated equilibrium and spandrals. Subversive
