Good detail but I do like their names. It seems a lot of old hacker names were something that D&D nerds came up with. "The Gatekeeper", "Dark Wizard", "Shadow Blade" etc - still cool though - there's a good source from textfiles.com/hacking - some of them sound like digital pirates or really from a digital wild west. It looked so fun to be around in the hacking scene back then, almost a completely different world.

I apologize for my earlier response and any offense that it may have caused, on reflection it's clear that Neo would more likely use a powerful language like C++ to manipulate The Matrix given its low-level system access and efficiency.

I have a hunch feeling he's a FreeBSD user; his main PC gives off a UNIX oriented GUI so either Linux or BSD, doubt he'd be using commerical UNIX.
