I think the best change the movies ever made was having Harry break the Elder Wand

This was the first series I ever picked up. By the third book I fricking hated Harry Potter, the movies included.

I don't really remember anything in detail, but I do remember there was fan discourse about Dumbledore being evil or the like. Was he actually evil or was this some fanon thing?

Good guys are good because and bad guys are pure evil without reason because they're a juxtaposition of Hitler who was a big poopoo head. Had WW2 not happened they'd be making the same books about Napoleon being evil like British did the 150 years prior.

It's an excellent cautionary tale when considering republics.
When a position in political office is a privilege granted by the public defining the restrictions of that privilege without removing power from the office can lead to many unique problems.
Harry Potter is an abstraction of being elected (finding out he's a wizard) and being subject to many restrictions because of the power wizards posses.
I haven't read the books or seen the movies.

      Dobby dies

Because JK Rowling is arrogant enough to think it's her job to teach morality.

It was about the author’s daddy issues and some Christian stuff but overall a good series for children. It’s a shame she can define a woman.

Harry was a typical afro american teenager who was tasked with the great task of killing the runebearers to reforge the Elden Ring. along the way he fricked a bunch of b***hes and thus became known as The b***her. the end.

the moral is that winners win and losers lose

Basically the perfect example of late modern western culture
    Nothing to say
    Nothing of substance
It would be acceptable if it was nothing more then a children’s book but the real perversion of its prepubescence is the degree to which millennials “grew up with the books” rather then growing out of them and as such penned a thousand sexualized fanfics featuring the largely underage characters freezing an entire generation in the morals and complexity of a fricking diary of a bedtime story.
This to be clear is not to say that Harry Potter is the source of the delince of culture in the west, far from it, there’s a thousand other examples from Star Wars to marvel you can find that showcases this issue but it’s a pretty direct illustration of post-post modern infantilization.
    We’ve learned nothing
And every year we subsist in a culture ever more mute and ever more fricking stupid
