You don't work at Microsoft and you aren't a higher up at that.
You are merely speculating, which might or might not be true.
At least you've provided a possible explanation. What other possible explanations could we come up with?

They would need to pull an Apple and kill Windows on x86_64.

People exclusively associate windows with vidya. Those 2 things are the salt and pepper of the technological world. For most people you just can't really have one without the other.

ARM for the most part just doesn't have the raw horsepower for modern AAA vidya. It's basically a solar powered car trying to race a muscle car.

      wat?

Long long ago, before apple neutered their macbooks with phone CPUs you could natively install windows on them, hook up an eGPU, and play vidya at 1000 FPS.

Basically nobody respects mac os for playing vidya, it's too hipster/homosexual for directx 12. That said linux is getting somewhat close with proton but it's still a largely hit-or-miss kind of deal because some modern vidya will shit their pants of you run them in a VM.

            Concession accepted.

you didn't explain how windows is exclusively known for Vidya. you just explained that previously macbooks had more utility

Directx 12 you bafoon. Few people want to brainfrick themselves with whatever janky shit apple is using to compete with directx 12.

directx doesn't explain it at all.

Apple never adopted it, it explains it 100%. That's probably whey they neutered their computers with phone CPUs. They couldn't cope with their PREMIUM computers running OSs from competitors. They're not stupid though, which is why they included a free x86 emulator, which sucks ass BUT they knew that without it their israeliteery of swapping real computer CPUs with phone CPUs would have failed.

The whole game porting toolkit thing is just WINE AFAIK. They're trying super hard to distance themselves away from microsoft that it's comical to say the least.

I alreay accepted your concession, what do you want from me you homo?

apple can't because its windows only. its not even native on linux, its ran through translation layers from reverse engineering efforts.

Right, they would have had to bend the knee to micro soft and everyone would laughed them out of existance. The only way they israeliteery can keep functioning is if they paint themselves as the "underdog" so to speak. Which they've been really good at recently with all the claims about MUH PRIVACY while at the same time installing hardware level spyware on their phone CPUs.

It's a shame they chickened out on the whole CSA thing. Normal people have never been so close to discovering how evil Apple truly is.

ARM is for mobile, advantages on larger devices are irrelevant and you'll just get shittier processors than x86 because the designers are worse.

Even Apple just uses its massive margins to use smaller process and to trade area/$ for power, ARM doesn't matter.

No software (read goymes and niche shit originally made by people that died 20 years ago and nobody know how it works but companies still use) adapted to it, and since Windows' main attractive is to be able to run even ancient spagetthi code Microsoft can't pull an Apple and force devs to update their crapps or die or a Linux where the code is available and neets can build the programs on other architectures.

Because working with Apple hardware can be a real b***h. Look at Linux on Mac projects. You can only get fully working hardware support on a tiny number of very specific older models. Everything else is a hodgepodge of "well, we're got the WiFi working on this one, but the keyboard backlight doesn't work and the video acceleration is non-op on these three, but it works on this one with no working wifi or bluetooth"

It will be a failure for this alone. Nobody who isn't an applegay will spend 2k on a device that runs less software than a $500 craptop.
